How Long, O Lord, How Long?

“I felt my spirit inundated by a mystery of light that is God and in Him I saw and heard: the point of a lance like a flame that is detached, touches the axis of the earth, and it trembles: mountains, cities, towns and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, the rivers, the clouds, exceed their boundaries, inundating and dragging with them, in a vortex, houses and people in a number that cannot be counted.
It is the purification of the world from the sin in which it is immersed.
Hatred, ambition, provoke the destructive war.
After, I felt my racing heart, in my spirit a soft voice said:
‘In time, one faith, one baptism, one Church, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic.
In eternity, Heaven!’
This word ‘Heaven’ filled my heart with peace and happiness in such a way that, almost without being aware of it, I kept repeating to myself for a long time: Heaven, Heaven.”
(Sister Lucia of Fatima)

Actions have consequences and sins especially, have a way of catching up with us. Although sometimes it can seem as though our Heavenly Father withholds His justice with an infinite patience; it is becoming evident each day that the Lord of this World, Lucifer,  is exceedingly impatient  to push his agenda. Indeed, the devil is making headway in every area of the world and even throughout the Holy Catholic Church.

The Synod this October (2015) may prove to be a tipping point. Pope Francis, bless his heart, has consistently made clear his intention to “irreversibly” change the Church, despite the fact that the dogma of the faith is immutable as is God Himself. What will be the response of the true head of the Church, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to His Vicar, who defies Him?

Our Lord told Sister Lucia in an apparition in Rianjo, Spain in the summer of 1931, “Make it known to My ministers, given that they follow the example of the King of France in delaying the execution of My command (to consecrate Russia), they will follow him into misfortune. It is never too late to have recourse to Jesus and Mary.”

Sister Lucia reported later that Our Lord also complained to her, “They did not wish to heed My request! … Like the King of France they will repent of it, and they will do it, but it will be late. Russia will have already spread its errors in the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church. The Holy Father will have much to suffer.” (from Fatima.org)

Our Lord was referring to His request to King Louis XIV of France on June 17, 1689 to solemnly consecrate his country to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Our Lord made His request known through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and no French King obeyed the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Eventually, on June 17, 1789, 100 years later, King Louis XVI was stripped of his power by the National Assembly and four years later, was beheaded. It is said that while he was in the Bastille, King Louis XVI attempted to consecrate France, but by that time, of course, it was far too late.

It seems likely that Pope Francis will  attempt to force through his intended “irreversible” changes to the Church at the final Synod this October. That will be just two short years away from the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of the Rosary’s last appearance at Fatima, October 13, 1917. The year 1917 is also the anniversary of the Russian Revolution (1917), of the establishment of Freemasonry (1717) and of Luther’s revolt (1517). That’s a lot of history coming to bear down on us.

“Like the King of France, they will repent of it, and they will do it, but it will be late.”

What do you think? How long can this go on? In the Rianjo apparition, Our Lord said, “It will be late.” He did not say that it will be too  late. Sister Lucia describes the flame-like point striking the axis of the earth as “purification”. It seems possible that this purification will be the final chastisement, after which a chastened Pope faithful to Christ will perform the requested Consecration which will bring a period of peace at last, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. And then will come the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ the King.

One last note, in His appearance at Rianjo to Sister Lucia, Our Lord gave her two of the Fatima Prayers.

‘You console Me a great deal in asking Me for the conversion of those poor nations: Request it also of My Mother, while saying to Her often: Sweet Heart of Mary, be the salvation of Russia, Spain, Portugal, Europe and the whole world.

‘At other times say: By Thy Pure and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, obtain for me the conversion of Russia, Spain, Portugal, Europe and the whole world.

I have been remiss in not emphasising them more. But it would be lovely if more of us, who are devoted to Our Lady, were to pray these two prayers daily between now and the Synod.

Remember – Our Lady needs us to obey:  First Saturdays of Reparation, daily rosary, at least 5 mysteries, wear her brown scapular and live your Total Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, offering daily duties in reparation and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Open your hearts to the Lord and serve Him only: and He will free you from the hands of your enemies. With all your heart return to Him, and take away from your midst any strange gods” (I Kings 7:3)

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Please pray for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

~ by evensong for love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, King. Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!
