Fatima – the Chastisement of Impurity, 2022

In that same interview, Sister Lucia had stated that the Blessed Virgin Mary was very sorrowful because no one had heeded her message. She also stressed that at that particular time, that is, in 1957, “the punishment from heaven is imminent.” Sister Lucia had earlier, in 1955, told Cardinal Ottaviani that the secret was to be revealed in 1960, “because it will be clearer then“. 

With hindsight, we can easily see that the warning that punishment was “imminent” referred to the Second Vatican Council and the floodgates of errors it loosed upon the Church. But at the time, this prophesy was little noted.

Ever the incorrigible optimist, Pope John XXIII dismissed Our Lady’s message as not for his time and locked it away in the Vatican archives. Meanwhile, he proceeded apace with his plans to convoke an ecumenical council. Yet even as all this was being done, activists had infiltrated the universities and seminaries, corrupting the priests who became Bishops and Cardinals. As predicted by Sister Lucia, the devil did in fact, lead many souls to Hell by way of priests and nuns corrupted from their true vocations.

By the time “Good Pope John” opened his council, the die was already cast. His disobedience to the command of the Blessed Virgin Mary meant that the Council could never be efficacious in saving souls. For the fruit of disobedience never advances us spiritually. And in fact, the Holy Catholic Church has suffered brutally since then as the heresy within the hierarchy of the Church has increasingly promoted devastating liturgical abuses, murky doctrines, and has shown itself incapable of leading the faithful through the morass of a worldwide collapse of culture.

As we read Sister Lucia’s message, it is clear that it foretold a massive falling-away from the Faith. Her words, “The devil knows that religious and priests who fall away from their beautiful vocation drag innumerable souls to Hell … The devil wishes to take possession of consecrated souls. He tries to corrupt them in order to lull to sleep the souls of laypeople and thereby lead them to final impenitence.” demonstrate a chilling prescience, don’t they?

Far from being a chaste, “Alter Christus”, a priest who is actively engaged in the homosexual lifestyle is living in a state of willful impurity, a consciously persistent mortal sin. His soul, totally dead to the sanctifying grace necessary for union with Christ is withered and although he may pose as an “alter Christus”, and may even offer the devout Holy Sacrifice, he is in fact, a diabolical deceiver, in no way able to effectively guide souls who entrust their salvation to him.

Eliminating the Evangelical Counsels

The ancient enemy’s goal is to eliminate the evangelical counsels from the consecrated life. Poverty, chastity and obedience,  while not strictly required for the laity, are essentials of the consecrated life and they are betrayed by those who have usurped control in the Vatican and throughout the current hierarchy. One of the first actions taken by Pope Francis was the confiscation of the extensive properties of the Franciscans of the Immaculate, an order which embodied those three counsels.

The prophecy that, “The apostasy will begin at the top” is closely connected with the flood of impurity among consecrated souls foretold by Sister Lucia. They are both part of the chastisement visited on the Church as a result of the hierarchy’s lack of obedience to Our Lady of Fatima’s request. Even if you doubt this, consider a moment throughout all ages in times of crisis, God has repeatedly called His chosen ones to repentance and prayer. Look around at the world in shambles  — and consider if it would not be better to devote more time to prayer, more effort to penance, especially the secret penance of simply choosing to serve Jesus and not ourselves each day!

Hasn’t the world got enough people brimming with self esteem and ambition? Enough people who know it all, and yet are ignorant of the wisdom of the Cross? Now is the time to renew our Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We are all here at this moment in time because Our Lord has invited us to attend to His Passion, the Passion of His Church.

The Apostles who fled Him when Judas betrayed Him were given a second chance as they gathered around Our Blessed Mother in the Upper Room. We shall not be so favored. The time is soon coming when you will be irrevocably challenged and if you fail Our Lady now, you may not be able to withstand the persecution to follow.

As Catholics, we tend to avoid criticism of our priests, Bishops and especially our Pope.  But now we must acknowledge the truth in justice and love. Love is never separated from truth; love never serves lying coverups. The professional Catholic commentators who attack anyone who brings up pederasty in the priesthood are only serving the father of lies, they are not tolerant, they are not truthful and they are betraying the Catholic Faith.

Our Church will be restored but it will only come through the perfect purity of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who is, by the grace of Our Savior, our loving Mother. She has assured us that, “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”  And Our Lord confirmed to Sister Lucia that “It has been given to her.” And so this tremendous spiritual battle between the evil of satan  and the unconquerable purity of the Most Holy Virgin has begun.

Thank you for bearing with me and my shortcomings these many years. I chose to restore the above post  for a reason. It expresses the unwelcome truth that impurity in the institutional Church (and implicitly in the faithful as well) is significant. Saint Jacinta taught us that impurity is the most prevalent and potent means of destroying souls today.

In these last times, the Most Blessed Virgin Mary has given us the Miraculous Medal to celebrate her perfect purity in her Immaculate Conception, and the miraculous waters of Lourdes to emphasise that same purity and finally her beautiful Fatima series of visits, which culminated in the magnificent Miracle of the Sun, during which she appeared to the children in the Carmelite habit, offering her brown scapular, that is, encouraging the evangelical counsels, the tools of perfection, for all who would be her children.

To those skeptics, note this, please: Purity is a salutary virtue for every state of life if properly understood, for it is a call to love and serve Our Lord Jesus Christ more than our own base passions. The Book of Tobias is an excellent lesson in this regard.

The last presidential election was a perfect example of a missed opportunity. Those who have put themselves forward to lead Catholics, misled them into participation in a thoroughly corrupt exercise in futility, attempting to vote in a “lesser evil” to defeat the greater evil.  Nowhere was a truly Catholic voice found to state the truth: the United States has not had a free and honest presidential election within the memory of living Americans. There is as little chance of voting out the deeply rooted corruption in American politics as there is of any one of the “Open Letters” or petitions circulated by the professional Catholic leaders dissuading  Pope Francis from his destructive agenda.

To be very clear in this vitally important point: Until Catholic leaders preach the truth, they will be guilty of leading souls to hell. Above all others, they should know that this is a battle between Satan and the Bride of Christ, that is, between the Kingdom of Satan and the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Our Lord has given us His own Most Blessed Mother and promised us that the victory has already been given to her. Why will not our own Catholic leaders listen to her? Stop the foolish posing, the photo ops the open letters  and useless petitions that serve no end except to keep their names in the news.

We faithful, most of us lacking in theology degrees and of no particular stature or reputation, long for a true leader but we must bear in mind that none will be given until we ourselves, by our own intentions and actions serve Our Lady as she has asked. And that is all that I have hoped to accomplish in this tiny niche on the vast internet.  My message is always the same: Return to Our Immaculate Mother’s message at Fatima!  Let yourselves be led by the Immaculate Mother of God. Live that message and expect the miracles that will follow as a truly Catholic alternative arises to restore the faith!

In an earlier version of this post, I suggested that after the disastrous presidential election, “Perhaps we shall soon experience an attitude adjustment to help us understand the importance of total consecration to the Immaculate Mother of God. At this point, only the heroic total consecration to Jesus through Mary will avail.”

In that post, I confided that in my own life I have failed to follow my own advice and in struggling to keep Return to Fatima online, I had slipped into cutting back my devotions, or to put it bluntly, I betrayed my own promises to the Blessed Virgin. Yes, I did that. I caused her great sorrow. The result of my betrayal was an increasing bitterness, and a return of that vicious sarcastic wit that indicates the withdrawal of grace and hints at the influence of satan in the life of a sinner.

Don’t let this happen to you! If you find yourself with less and less time for Our Dear Lady, stop and consider what choices must be made to return to your former loving rapport with her. The Rosary is our lifeline and I have been greatly remiss for not doing more to help you benefit from this beautiful, nourishing time with her.

For it is only through devotion to her Immaculate Heart that we will we reach Our Lord Jesus Christ. Hold fast this truth. Only through the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

And lastly, there is this:  You do not need me! Anything whatsoever I have said that has been worthwhile is only what writers far better than I have written. Our Lord knows your needs and He has given you His own beloved Mother.

Let yourself be led by the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She will not fail to lead you safely to her Divine Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray the Rosary !

Remember – Our Lady needs us to obey:  First Saturdays of Reparation, daily rosary, at least 5 mysteries, wear her brown scapular and live your Total Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, offering daily duties in reparation and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Open your hearts to the Lord and serve Him only: and He will free you from the hands of your enemies. With all your heart return to Him, and take away from your midst any strange gods” (I Kings 7:3)

†  St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
†  St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
