The Judas Complex and Pope Francis

NOTE:  I have corrected the missing link to The Mystery of Iniquity, which now works, thank you.

The following is from 2016 and has not been updated. Back then,  it was newsworthy to discover that the Vicar of Christ appears to have a tender devotion to Judas. Well, that’s old hat now, isn’t it? I offer this for a bit of nostalgia as we continue to sink into the subterranean depths of this Bergoglian Reformation.

Fom April, 2016:

Odd, isn’t it that Pope Francis has such a tender spot for Judas the betrayer of Christ?

In Monday’s  homily at Msgr. Ricca’s humble abode, Pope Francis opined, “It hurts when I read that small passage from the Gospel of Matthew, when Judas, who has repented, goes to the priests and says: ‘I have sinned’ and wants to give … and gives them the coins. ‘Who cares! – they say to him: it’s none of our business!’ They closed their hearts before this poor, repentant man, who did not know what to do. And he went and hanged himself.” (Vatican Radio) [Note: Pope Francis really did call Judas a “poor, repentant man” !]

To Francis, Judas “repented”, even though Judas never acknowledged his sin to Jesus Christ, who is the One whom he offended. For Francis, Judas’s worldly regret expressed to the “doctors of the law” was sufficient, ignoring Jesus entirely. Odd that this Vicar of Christ seems not to understand that the victim of every sin is Jesus Christ and reparation must be to Him.

So, Pope Francis teaches us, Judas was “this poor, repentant man”. Thus, once again Pope Francis is greater in mercy than Our Lord Jesus Christ, who prayed to His Father, shortly before Judas betrayed Him, “While I was with them, I kept them in Thy name. Those whom Thou gavest me have I kept; and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture may be fulfilled. (John 17, 12)

The Judas Complex

Thinking on this strange Pope’s even stranger affinity for Judas recalled to mind Father Malachi Martin’s writing about the Judas Complex among the Modernist Churchmen who infest the Church. His 1990 book, “The Keys of This Blood”,  has a final portion titled “Coda, the Protocol of Salvation” which contains a fascinating analysis of the precise situation in which we find ourselves today, under a pope who asserts himself as more merciful and practical than Jesus Christ, whom he insists he represents. Indeed, as he himself reminds us, he is  “by the will of Christ Himself – the supreme Pastor and Teacher of all the faithful”. And that he enjoys, “supreme, full, immediate, and universal ordinary power in the Church”.

The term “Coda”  refers to something that ends a work, its completion, and not only refers to the end of the book, but also the completion of the modernist revolution in the Church. In the first chapter of Coda, Fr. Malachi Martin explains the Judas Complex, that is, the compromise engaged in by the worldly, pragmatic Judas, who was certain that he was destined to steer Jesus away from His impractical insistence on the spiritual at the expense of the “real concerns of those living in the real world”. Fr. Martin writes that initially, Judas was certain that he could, by a “decent compromise, ensure Jesus’ success in the world by compacting with the world’s leaders.”

The “Decent Compromise”

That term, “decent compromise” rang a bell when I read it, and at length I found the earlier reference to a “decent compromise” in Father Martin’s earlier book, “Rich Church, Poor Church” from 1984. When Pope Pius XI enlisted the aid of Cardinal Gasparri, his powerful Secretary of State and Francesco Pacelli (brother of then Archbishop Pacelli) to negotiate the Lateran Treaty in which the Pope traded the Vatican States for the Italian equivalent of $90+ million to be invested with the world’s bankers, (what could go wrong?) the deal was termed a “decent compromise”  by the Catholic leaders of the time.

The Lateran Treaty marked the grievous compromise with the world power of Freemasonry and was the event which triggered the return of Our Lady of Fatima in 1929 to request the Pope and Bishops Consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart. She required this public act of humility, faith and obedience to counteract the Pope and hierarchy’s growing arrogance, disbelief and disobedience.

Father Malachi Martin states, “the essence of the Judas complex: (is) the compromise of one’s basic principles in order to fit in with the modes of thought and behavior that the world regards as necessary for its vital interests”, and he asserts that this compromise was both the specific sin wherein Judas expressed his pride and also the sure norm we can use to identify the work of the “anti-church” which has infested the Church for generations now.  This anti-church within the Church has provided us with many clues to its existence over the years.

One notable example was Cardinal Mariano Rampolla, the Secretary of State under that brave Lion of the Faith, Pope Leo XIII. Pope Leo XIII was a fierce defender of the Faith and staunch opponent of Freemasonry; however, as Randy Engel noted in her monumental source book about homoheresy in the Church, “The Rite of Sodomy”, in the last 16 years of his papacy, that is, the years in which Rampolla guided him, Pope Leo ceased speaking out officially on Freemasonry and made several blunders which aided the Masonic/progressive agenda at the expense of faithful Catholics.

The Rampolla Faction

Rampolla was reputed to be a member of a secret society, the Ordo Templis Orientalis (OTO) which used sodomy as part of its initiation at its highest levels. Engel identifies powerful churchmen who were part of Rampolla’s close inner circle: Cardinal Piero Gasparri, who negotiated the Lateran Treaty and served as the powerful Secretary of State for both the aged Benedict XV and for Pius XI. In addition to the Lateran Treaty we see Gasparri’s hand in Pope Benedict XV’s destruction of the anti-modernist Sodalitium Pianum put in place by Pope Saint Pius X.

Others who were part of the Rampolla faction were: Giacomo della Chiesa, who had been Rampolla’s private secretary and became Benedict XV, Eugenio Pacelli who served under Rampolla and was his protege. The two popes who followed him, Roncalli (John XXIII) and Montini (Paul VI) were also allies of Rampolla. All of these prelates are marked with the sign of worldly compromise, engaging in compacts with world leaders and in one way or another allowing into the Church the smoke of Satan. Many were noteworthy for their excellent and orthodox magisterial actions and teachings, but all carried within their work the subtle hand of the Judas Complex, which is the compromise necessary for evil to enter and eventually thrive in the Church. Father Martin explains in his passage on the Judas Complex that this is plainly malfeasance, described as  “the doing by a public official, under color of authority of his office, of something that is unwarranted, that he contracted not to do, and that is legally unjustified and positively wrongful or contrary to law,”

Fr. Martin asserts that,

“The greatest single act of malfeasance in high ecclesiastical and ecclesial office has been the tolerance and propagation of confusion about key beliefs among the Catholic rank and file, this tolerated confusion being a direct result of a tolerated dissidence by Catholic theologians and bishops concerning those same key beliefs.

For to tolerate confusion is to propagate confusion.

“A primary and fundamental duty of every ecclesiastical office … (is) the clear, unmistakable teaching and enforcement of the basic rules and fundamental beliefs the Church holds and declares to be necessary for eternal salvation. There can be no compromise on both points: teaching and enforcement. If Roman Catholics have any rights in the Church, they have a primary right to receive such unequivocal teaching and to be the subjects of such forthright and unhesitating enforcement.”

Fr. Martin identifies four key areas that have been effectively undermined by this confusion:

  • The Eucharist. This means the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, undermined by Paul VI’s Novus Ordo, and now  demolished at the hands of the Humble Pope of Mercy®
  • The oneness and trueness of the Roman Catholic Church, undermined by false ecumenism, now being brought to its logical conclusion under Pope Francis.
  • The Petrine Office of the Bishop of Rome, undermined by “synodality”.
  • The morality of Christian reproductive activity undermined by protestant heresy of the sovereignty of individual conscience. This last point has been carried farther than even Father Martin foresaw with the Bergoglio/Kasper agenda of asserting the rights of those living in persistent mortal sin, such as sodomy, fornication and adultery, to receive Holy Communion.

Each of the above four points is becoming ever more clear as Pope Francis pushes his agenda with brutal determination while the sycophant catholic media abet him and our weak and effeminate prelates look away.

In “Keys of This Blood”, Father Malachi Martin documents in exhausting detail the progress of the anti-church’s deliberate malfeasance. Reading it, one cannot but be struck with his prescience and then be overcome with sorrow for the Bride of Christ, betrayed by those who have sworn to cherish and protect Her and assaulted by those sworn to defend her, her own beloved Sons.

Martin explains that these modernist Judases intend to eliminate the Primacy of the Pope and replace the Petrine Privilege with a gaggle of national churches, each attuned their their own local culture and needs. In order to achieve the liquidation of the Petrine Office they require the consent of its occupant,

… and the easiest way in which that could happen would be the election to the throne of Peter of a papal candidate who, prior to his election, is known as favoring such a liquidation. Domination of a papal Conclave by that sort of mind would be a prerequisite for success in this epoch-making venture. For epoch-making it is: to transform the almost two-thousand-year-old tradition of the Roman Catholic Church by ending officially and once and for all the papal primacy such as it has evolved over the centuries and has been asserted by every ecumenical council of the Church, including the Second Vatican Council.”

The current occupant fits this description perfectly, wielding the full  power of the papacy in order to abolish it by means of collegiality and synodality. Father Martin sums up the progress of the Judas Complex by asserting that it brings us face to face with what St. Paul calls the “mystery of iniquity”. This is the phrase used by St. Paul when writing about the universal apostasy that precedes the anti-Christ in the last days.

“Before those terrible events of the final end, Paul tells his faithful, they will be faced with the fact that, contrary to human expectation, iniquity— the specific attack of Lucifer on the followers of Jesus— will operate on a grand scale. Jesus Himself, speaking of those last days, echoed the same note, warning His followers that the servants of that iniquity would do to them exactly as they would do to Him, so that even the just would succumb if God didn’t shorten those days of their sufferings. Jesus’ Church would be treated as Jesus had been treated by His enemies.

“It is not fanciful but frighteningly impressive to realize that the Judas complex in Churchmen has already led the Church into a condition that reproduces the sufferings imposed on Jesus through the treachery of Judas.

  • The agony of doubt and fear Jesus underwent in Gethsemane Garden is paralleled by the Gethsemane of doubt and fear that dissident theologians have created in the Church.
  • The neglect and contempt of Judas for partaking in what actually was a sacred event, the Last Supper, is reproduced in the multiple ways that the anti-Church has effectively diminished the sacramental importance of the Eucharist— indeed, the very reality of the Eucharist as the Body and Blood of Christ.
  • The imprisonment, torture, scourging and crucifixion of Jesus— direct results of Judas’ treachery— have been and still are today reproduced in the bodies of millions who have been betrayed by Churchmen.  [Here, we think particularly of the betrayed Middle East Christians and all victims of islamic terror, such as Asia Bibi, on whom the Pope maintains an obstinate and cowardly silence.]
  • The desertion of Christ by the Apostles once Christ was arrested finds its mystical parallel in today’s Churchmen: They deny they know Him as the Son of God … and many good Churchmen, orthodox in belief, pure of life, flee from any reaction, any strong reaction, to the destruction of Christ’s Church by the anti-Church, thus becoming responsible for the damage they could have prevented by putting themselves and their interests in second position, resisting the anti-Church on the parish and diocesan level.

Fr. Martin’s Conclusion

“Such an overall manifestation of the once latent power of that iniquity, now rampant within the Church and directly the doing of the anti-Church, surely orients the mind to at least the beginnings, if not the actual beginning, of that universal apostasy among believers that St. Paul explicitly foretells and insists is the direct prelude to the climactic arrival of the Man of Destiny, the anti-Christ.” (Father Malachi Martin, The Keys of This Blood, Simon and Schuster, Kindle Edition).

Today, under the reign of Pope Francis, we see at last the one foreseen by St. Francis of Assisi,

“Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true pastor but a destroyer.”

Fr. Martin’s “Coda, Protocol of Salvation” contains a couple more chapters and I hope to write on them soon.
