Update mid-July 2023

Thank you for taking the time to read this today;  I’ve a brief update for you, followed by a repost of “Lot’s Wife and the Little Shepherds” from 2020.

When I began this latest – and final – attempt to restore Return to Fatima, I was 79, and struggling with the death of my husband of 60+ years, and an ongoing debilitating and terminal illness (or two, as it now seems) and the consequent end of life issues, both temporal and spiritual. Many readers drifted away, dissatisfied by my change of focus. Gone was the chatty evensong, replaced by the strictly functional person who merely reposts old essays and omits to carry on correspondence. It was truly all I could manage!

It is unavoidable for I am now 80, and how can I express to you the fatigue and suffering of these years; suffering that I have welcomed with an interior joy and peace, but which remains largely inexpressible to others.

Perhaps you yourself have noted that when we agree to welcome all the crosses given to us, we perhaps do not always fully understand that accepting God’s will does not in any way mean that the great sorrow and pain and the humilities will be mitigated, but that they will, at times, be allowed to show us a glimpse, only a glimpse, of His sweet love for us, miserable souls that we are. Crosses come and go, humility endures.

Writing this today has taken much longer than I anticipated! I got off on a tangent again, and began speaking once more the same warnings I’ve given so often, and which, I’ve been informed have only served to turn readers away. Warnings against the plethora of false apparitions, false devotions and pious frauds which appear to be irresistible to so many today.

Like Lot’s wife, many simply cannot resist the impulse to satisfy that curiosity that itches at them, and distracts them from the safe, secure path offered by Our Lady of the Rosary.

My only answer to them is that the chastisement has not yet even begun, as we are soon to see. The world has not seen such as is to come, the darkness, plague, famine and war of unimaginable severity.

Sacred Priesthood and  Holy Sacrifice

And yet, it could have been even worse were it not for the rescue of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Sacred Priesthood. I tell you that even the devout of the Novus Ordo – yes there are such! – have to thank the priests who persist, against all odds, in offering the Holy Sacrifice, persist in their pure and holy priesthood. For they have brought floods of grace to their brothers in Christ. But for how long? What will the coming onslaught bring? Only through the Immaculate Heart of Mary will we be safe in this dark and fierce chastisement.

Well, see there, I did it again! Always the warnings! Forgive me, it is just a mother’s worry. But here, note this:

When God chastises us, we should attempt to discern the lesson to be learned; otherwise, we become a part of the unfortunate who simply fall beneath the blade to their eternal ruin. How many faithful today are really paying attention? How many will lose their souls as a result?

Once before God struck the wicked, destroying Sodom and Gomorrah and every living thing in the area round about, saving only Lot and his wife and daughters. The angels took Lot and his family away from the city, cautioning them:

“Save thy life: look not back, neither stay thou in all the country about: but save thyself in the mountain, lest thou be also consumed. And the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven. And He destroyed these cities, and all the country about, all the inhabitants of the cities, and all things that spring from the earth. And (Lot’s) wife looking behind her, was turned into a statue of salt.”

In many posts, we have warned that this time was coming. And when it did, we attempted to stress that the great and disheartening evils we now see are the beginning of still greater evils yet to come. What has been hidden will be made known, not in order to titillate curiosity, but in order for the faithful to make reparation before God’s justice. To the extent that reparation is offered, grace is given in even greater profusion. Our Lady has generously promised that nothing we ask for by our rosaries will be denied – now this refers to the salvation of souls particularly! But the time is short.

Now is the time

It may be that soon we shall see God’s justice. Whosoever is found to be faithful at that time will obtain their reward, not perhaps in this life, for few will survive, but in the next. Now is the time for us to make reparation and to beseech God’s mercy for poor sinners, especially those most in need, that is, those who are about to die in their sins and thus lose their souls forever.

Now is the time to save our souls and the souls entrusted to us.

That is what is meant by fleeing to the mountain to save ourselves. This in no way indicates that we are to cower and hide our heads in the sand. We must not become transfixed by the deluge of scandal on the internet and the false solutions offered by false leaders. The entire panorama provided by the internet experts, especially by conservative and traditional Catholics feeds us a diet of the shocking deeds of the “children of darkness” and the comforting words and deeds of the leaders of the “children of light”. False leaders are known by their careful avoidance of the true message of the Angel of Fatima which is a personal message to each of us for our own conversion.  We cannot convert others until we ourselves are cleansed!

All of it serves to distract us from the obedience, self denial, sacrifice and prayers required of us to save our souls and those who are our responsibility. And yet, who today is telling you what Saint Michael, 107 years ago told the little shepherds of Fatima?

“Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the Most High.

“Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners. You will thus draw down peace upon your country. . .

“Above all, accept and bear with submission the suffering which the Lord will send you.”

Why did the Angel tell these little children, who were most surely much more innocent than the poor children in today’s dreadful culture, that they must offer sacrifices and prayers as reparation for sin? It is because the sinners cannot any longer repent because of the diabolical disorientation caused by the overwhelming tide of iniquity which so obscures the light of God’s grace today. As Our Lady warned, many souls are lost because there are so few to pray for them.

“Do not look back”

As the Angels warned Lot and his family, “Do not look back.” Understand that this does not mean that you must ignore the crisis, on the contrary, you must respond to it in the most effective way. And that is not to become mesmerized by the good guys vs. bad guys scenario, the unfolding tragedy of the destruction, not of Sodom but now of Babylon. Instead of focusing outward, pointing at the sins and outrages of others, we must finally return with humility and obedience to the message of the Angel and the message of the Lady of Light at Fatima.

Now, stop a minute and consider: What did Lot see in Sodom before the Angel led him away? What does a society have to do to deserve for God to wipe it from the face of the earth? Do you think he saw a society where even children were deeply corrupted and used for sexual purposes? Do you think he saw a society where women wore masks on their faces but displayed their tattooed and pierced bodies as lasciviously as possible? Did he see a society where even the Princes of the Church flaunted their perverse impurity before the world? Did he see a society where manifest evil* is forced on the populace. Did he see a society where the good suffer persecution in silence while the criminals are honored as victims?

*The evil of so-called “vaccines” made and tested with the use of tissue harvested from deliberately aborted fetuses.

Would you not think that the longer the Lord delayed, the greater would be the chastening? For He has given us ample time but what have we done with it? I assure you that our children, grandchildren, indeed all the world’s children need us very much right now for the message of Fatima is the one means given whereby they may be saved in this Passion.

False leaders continue to call us to false devotions and secular solutions, distracting us from the means given by Our Lady herself to save us all from damnation. Do not be misled – only the Mother of God, only the Immaculate Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of the Rosary. In her love, and only in her love, we find safe to passage to the Cross of Our Savior. In that Cross alone is our salvation.

When this divine wrath visits us, do you want to be found gazing in morbid fascination at the lurid details of the destruction, or do you want to be devoutly adoring and trusting in Him who is our only salvation? Heed the Angels. Lot’s Angels instructed him not to look back but to turn away from Sodom and its destruction. Now hear Fatima’s Angel.

The Angels’ Advice

“Do not be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.”

Kneeling on the ground, he bowed down until his forehead reached the ground. Led by a supernatural impulse, we did the same, and repeated the words which we heard him say:

“My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I beg pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You!”

Having repeated these words three times, he rose and said:

“Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications.”

Then, one day when the children were amusing themselves at the well, the Angel returned:

‘What are you doing? Pray, pray very much! The Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary have designs of mercy on you. Offer prayers and sacrifices constantly to the Most High.’

“How are we to make sacrifices?” Lucia asked.

‘Make of everything you can a sacrifice, and offer it to God as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners. You will thus draw down peace upon your country. I am its Angel Guardian, the Angel of Portugal.

‘Above all, accept and bear with submission the suffering which the Lord will send you.’

Towards the end of September or early October, the Angel of Fatima again appeared. In Lucia’s words:

“We beheld the Angel. He was holding a chalice in his left hand, with the Host suspended above it, from which some drops of Blood fell into the chalice.

‘Leaving the Chalice and the Host suspended in the air, the Angel knelt down beside us and made us repeat three times:

‘Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, I adore Thee profoundly and I offer Thee the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the same Son Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for all the sacrileges, outrages and indifferences by which He Himself is offended. And by the infinite merits of His Most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.’

Then, rising, he took the Chalice and the Host in his hands. He gave the Sacred Host to me, and shared the Blood from the Chalice between Jacinta and Francisco, saying as he did so:

‘Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men! Make reparation for their crimes and console your God.’

You know these things – Already we have discussed them so many times! And so we offer up to God our temptation to indulge curiosity – it saddens Our Lord all the more, that we prefer to fill our time with sordid, shocking details instead of spending it consoling Him and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of our Blessed Mother.

It is our choice: Lot’s Wife disregarded the Angel, and indulged her curiosity; but Francisco, Jacinta and Lúcia obeyed the Angel of Fatima and adored God, offering reparation and obtaining the conversion of many sinners.

We must stop thinking that the way out of this crisis is for others to change – no, God calls each of us this day to our own transformation, by making of everything a sacrifice – quenching the destructive fire can only be done by one who is afire with the love of Our Lord Jesus Christ – turn to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts now, while you can make the most difference and save many souls!

Our time here is so precious and so fleeting! Let’s make the best of it and save many, many souls!
