Divine Mercy and the Sacred Heart of Jesus

In His revelations to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque from 1673-1675, Our Lord Jesus Christ asked that He be “honored under the figure of His heart of flesh …  environed with flames, crowned with thorns, and surmounted by a cross”.  The Divine Mercy devotion removes the Sacred Heart from the image of Jesus.

It seems self-evident that there is a contradiction here. Did Jesus ever explain to Sister Faustina why He changed His mind? Let’s discuss this.

In His approved revelations to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Our Lord specifically asked for devotion to the image of His Sacred Heart.

In the words of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque:

“One day, on the Feast of St. John the Evangelist, after Holy Communion, the Heart of Jesus was represented to me as on a throne, formed of fire and flames, shedding rays on every side and brighter than the sun. The wound which He received upon the Cross was clearly visible; a crown of thorns encircled the Sacred Heart, and it was surmounted by a cross.

“Our divine Savior gave me to understand that those instruments of the Passion signified that the source of all His sufferings had been the boundless love of His Heart for men; that all those torments and insults had been placed before Him, from the first moment of His Incarnation; and that the Cross was, so to say, planted in His Heart, from that moment. And then, from that same moment, He accepted all the sorrows and humiliations which His sacred humanity was to suffer during the course of His mortal life, together with all the outrages to which He was to expose Himself to the end of time for the love of mankind by dwelling amongst them in the Blessed Sacrament.”

His Word Like a Fire in My Heart

Posted on July 21, 2020 by evensong

For years now, in several posts, I have posted warnings about following false leaders who attempt to deceive you, and lead you astray. I have tried to point out the urgent necessity for Catholics to Return to the Message of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima. I have not so far noticed any indication that the message is being picked up by the Catholic opinion leaders. Quite the opposite.

The following is yet another warning against following the leaders now rallying behind Archbishop Vigano. Their delusion, while disheartening is not unexpected to those who have been paying attention. For those leaders who interview and quote each other endlessly, form an echo chamber than can no longer hear aught but their own voices.

Flattering the “Children of Light”

By casting their support behind Archbishop Vigano the fifty-something traditional luminaries have hitched their wagon to yet another fallen star. Abp. Vigano has severely compromised his credibility by his public endorsement of U. S. President Donald Trump, lauded by him as leader along with himself of “the children of light”, “offspring of the Woman”. The best discussion of Abp. Vigano’s Letter to Trump is found in James Larson’s article, “Archbishop Viganò, Donald Trump and the Americanist Delusion of Traditional Catholics”, which we posted July 18 and can also be found along with much more information on Mr. Larson’s site, “The Rosary to the Interior”, linked in our sidebar at right.

Our Lady of the Rosary, the Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, has clearly stated, “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.” And our Lord Jesus Christ confirmed the same to Sister Lucia, “She will do it because it has been given to her.” St. Louis de Montfort has written on this as well. Her victory will be through her Immaculate Heart, not through a man like Trump who has three living wives (at that time. One has since died I believe.) and supports LGBTQetc. agenda, publicly states that he has never done anything to confess. I am not aware that Mr. Trump is even seeking to be reconciled with the one true faith without which no one may be saved.

The Second Joyful Mystery

To understand the problem here, we need look no further than the Second Joyful Mystery: As soon as the Blessed Virgin became the Mother of Our Savior, she immediately went to Elizabeth, her kinswoman. Sacred Scripture tells us she went in haste. This is because Christ demanded it. No time should be wasted in driving Satan out of John. Immediately upon coming near, at the voice of the Virgin Mother, John leapt in Elizabeth’s womb, thrilled to be freed from original sin by Our Lord Jesus Christ through the Immaculata. For John was to be the precursor, his baptisms preparing the way for Our Savior.

In order to serve Our Lord, both the Immaculata and John the Baptist had to be in a state of grace. Put another way, those who will serve the Victory of the Immaculata will be prepared by sanctifying grace. Yes, some will say, but “God writes straight with crooked lines” and other such cliches. True, God can make use of evil, and frequently does, to accomplish His will, but those who are not in a state of sanctifying grace, who indeed find no need for it, do not get to be lauded as “children of light”, even “offspring of the Woman”. The victory will be won despite them, not due to their good qualities whatever they may be.

The world is on the brink of a tremendous crisis and there is almost no facet of this complex issue that has not been co-opted by the dark forces of the ancient adversary, including those posing as “children of light”. However, many today are so blinded by their own importance that they are unable to see the need for humility and great self-sacrifice, great penance. They will not be able to understand this unless we gain for them what they lack. Readers, we must intensify our prayers, our penances to help those who cannot or will not help themselves.

Just Read Jeremias!

In September 10, 2019, I wrote:

Readers are tired of me writing posts like the following one, and I am discouraged to repeat myself – From here on out, just read Jeremias. That poor man warned God’s Chosen people for many years and they despised him and his message. They preferred their own ways, which did not involve acknowledging any sin on their part, any need for repentance or reparation. Eventually the chastisement so long withheld caught up with them, devastation and desolation followed and a chastened people received a period of peace. It is ever the same. Worldly people prefer worldly remedies for their problems. When the problems are spiritual, this is never a good idea. And when the secular solutions totally ignore the urgent Message from God’s own Mother, it only makes greater suffering for all. All.

When I wrote the original of this post, it was in response to the Barnhardt/Gracida thesis that “Francis is an anti-pope, Benedict is the true pope. Spread the word.” Those subscribing to that are unaware or indifferent to the fact that “Good Pope Benedict” is an unrepentant instigator of the errors of Vatican II that that have come to flower in “Bad Pope Francis”. In the latest development, we now see the Americanist Vigano being proclaimed as our spiritual leader.

The professional trad elite who are rallying their followers behind Abp. Vigano believe that they are commanding some sort of groundswell to grasp victory in the next conclave. That is not only a foolish pipe dream, but a dangerous one. To grasp this, simply return to the quote above: Until Our Lady of Fatima is obeyed every worldly action taken will backfire. Every one.

The problem in all this is the simplistic attitude that we can all unite and remove this “false pope” as though we were merely taking out the garbage. The Church is the creation of Our Lord Jesus Christ Who built it upon the rock of the papacy, an absolute monarchy. That was not some kind of “Divine mistake”! This absolute monarchy means that God reserves to Himself the final right to remove an errant pope.

Chastisement

The purpose of a spiritual chastisement is to humble the faithful when they have become arrogant and disobedient. That is, to call us to return humbly and with contrite hearts, to a childlike reliance on God, for we are called to be His children, and He did not give us His permission to run the Church. We are foolish if we think that we are exempt from following the commands of Our Lady of Fatima, and free to follow our own will.

When a true spiritual leader arises within the Church, he will not promote the message of Our Lady of Fatima by the use of the treacly cliches of the Gospa of Civitavecchia/Medjugorje. He will not link himself to a compromised secular leader or flatter his followers by assuring them that they are “mature, … desire to do good, to be honest, to raise a family, to engage in work, to give prosperity to their homeland, to help the needy, and, in obedience to the Law of God, to merit the Kingdom of Heaven.” Flattery!

No, the true Catholic leader chosen by Our Lady will fearlessly proclaim to us all that we have all fallen into sin, we have offended God and must stop offending Him. We must turn from our sins, repent, convert, make reparation, and beseech God to create in us a pure heart, to seek first the kingdom of God.

For your soul’s sake, I urge you to understand that it is not God who flatters you, echoes your own convictions back to and offers you facile solutions (such as, you can vote your way out of this) to deeply spiritual problems. Flattery is a tool of the devil.

That does not rule out the need for action. Not at all! It means that until hearts are turned, and Our Lady’s message at Fatima is fulfilled, the worldly methods will not only fail to be effective, they will exacerbate the problem.

Until Our Lady of Fatima is obeyed every worldly action taken will backfire. And obstinacy in this regard will wreak havoc on the immortal souls of those who persist in error.

Only she can help us because only the pure of heart will have place in this victory. Not the arrogant intelligentsia. Not the worldly persisting in sin, indifferent to the laws of the Church. By setting up false leaders, promoting false devotions, Msgr. Vigano only offends God and the Immaculata. Nothing good can come of it, except as a cautionary tale when it all comes to disaster.

Surviving

How will the Church survive this attack? In the same way as her Master suffered, died and was buried; the Bride of Christ will seem to have been vanquished, but that will be the moment when the tide will turn. Actually, quite literally. There will be no doubt at that time as to Who is the Head of the Church. But just as we cannot have the Resurrection without the Passion and Death of Our Lord, so we will not have the restoration of the faith until satan has played his hand. Remember Luke’s account of Christ’s appearance to His disciples at Emmaus, when He said to them, “Ought not Christ to have suffered these things and so to enter into His glory?” As then, so now, there will be great suffering.

This would be enough to make us despair if we did not know that all this has been foretold. We know what to expect, and in that regard, we are blessed in a way that the Magdalene and the Apostles were not. They witnessed their beloved Christ suffer humiliation, torture and a horrible death, without understanding why this had to be. Today, we witness the Bride of Christ suffering, but now we know why this is happening and we know the remedy –  if we will only heed it.

As Our Lord’s followers walked away from the tomb where they had laid Our Lord, into the desolate, gathering gloom, none could even conceive of the possibility of a glorious Resurrection. Only His Mother knew without the slightest shred of doubt that He was triumphant. But we, privileged with hindsight, realise that this disheartening chaos will have a resolution in God’s own good time. Meanwhile, there will be much suffering and immense sorrow as many souls will be scandalized. We must dedicate all our efforts to prayer and sacrifice to save souls in this horrific battle. For we shall have to answer for all those souls entrusted to us. Remember why we are here!

The Only Remedy for a Bad Pope

The Holy Catholic Church is established by Christ, and He is the true Head of the Church. Our Lord did not “make a mistake” when He gave the supreme power of the Church to the Pope, making him an absolute monarch. No, it was no mistake – it was Our Lord’s divine wisdom because thereby the only way a bad pope can be remedied is by Our Lord’s intervention. And to understand Our Lord’s intervention, we return once again to Fatima, and even before Fatima, to Paray-le-monial and Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque. We know that in these latter times, Our Lord has given us devotion to His Sacred Heart and to the Immaculate Heart of His Most Blessed Mother. Now, to understand this particular aspect of Fatima’s message, that is, the chastisement, we find it helpful to read back over the Old Testament Books like Jeremias. When you do begin reading Jeremias, it gets a bit challenging, going through many chapters of Jeremias warning the Jews in some pretty harsh words, to repent their sins. And on and on it goes, warning after warning and Jeremias is challenged and the people and their leaders refuse to hear him and choose instead, to follow false prophets who preach what they prefer to hear.

Jeremias was a strong man,  given his task by God.  I am only a foolish old woman, unworthy of this task which I have utterly failed at. At least this frees me to spend more time doing what I urge all readers to do: Pray the Rosary, make of everything a sacrifice of reparation to console Our Lord and His most Blessed Mother and as always, pray for you all!

Remember – Our Lady needs us to obey:  First Saturdays of Reparation, daily rosary, at least 5 mysteries, wear her brown scapular and live your Total Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, offering daily duties in reparation and for the conversion of poor sinners.

Open your hearts to the Lord and serve Him only: and He will free you from the hands of your enemies. With all your heart return to Him, and take away from your midst any strange gods” (I Kings 7:3)

✝︎  Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
✝︎  Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
✝︎  St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
✝︎ St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Fatima, Akita and the Chastisement

posted on : october 13, 2015  by : evensong

“The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness.
If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.”

NOTE April 25, 2020. This restored post, written in 2015, is updated  at the end of the post. evensong

Today is the 98th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun that marked Our Lady’s Sixth Visit to Fatima. it is also the 42nd anniversary of Our Lady’s visit to Akita. Akita’s message seems primarily to emphasize the warnings of Fatima, but it too, failed or rather the Church failed to heed it.

On October 13, 1917, a miracle occurred, witnessed by between 70,000 and 100,000 people. The miracle defied the laws of physics and was verified by witnesses who were Masons, atheists and anti-Christians as well as by the faithful. The day, month and hour had been predicted before hand.

When Our Lady appeared to the children, Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia at this Sixth Apparition, her final words to them were, “…I am Our Lady of the Rosary. Continue to say the Rosary every day. …. People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. Then, growing sadder, “They must not offend Our Lord any more for He is already too much offended.”

As Our Lady took leave of the children and rose, she spread her hands, which emitted brilliant rays of light. As she pointed towards the sun, the light from her hands brightened the very sun itself. At this precise moment, the crowds gathered there were astonished to see the dark clouds dispersed and the sky clear. And then the sun, which appeared as a brightly polished mother of pearl disc, began to spin, zig-zag and throw off brilliant flashes of light, blue and violet and golden yellow.

Then it suddenly began hurtling towards the earth, while the crowds screamed and fell to their knees in  terror. Just as suddenly as it started, it was over and the sun resumed its place. As people sighed with relief and thanked God, all were amazed that the muddy field was dry and their own shoes and clothes were dry and clean. This is a vivid and clear visual lesson in the power which God grants to His beloved Mary. She gave brightness to the sun, she commanded the sun and it obeyed her. The additional miracle of the entire Cova and all the multitudes drying out and becoming clean in a mere 15 minutes is just as unexplainable a miracle. There is a message here which we will return to in next post.

Now, let’s consider the message of our Lady’s words to the children. The first point we notice is the emphasis on the Rosary; as she had promised, she told them her name: Our Lady of the Rosary, Then she urged them to pray the Rosary daily. There is a very important message here, to which we will return shortly. Next, “People must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins.”  Compare this message of amending our lives, begging God for pardon for our sins and stop offending Him, compare this to the constant message of our Merciful® Pontiff, welcoming all sinners, “meeting them where they are” and  accompanying them, dialoging endlessly. Recently one of the Synod leaders proclaimed that they are eliminating the distinction between sin and the sinner. This is modernese for abolishing the concept of sin, ergo, no need to repent, no need to amend our lives.

So what do you think? After 98 years, how do we stand on obeying this Woman clothed with the Sun, who commands the sun and the forces of nature and they obey her?

On October 13, 1973, 56 years after that 1917 visit and 13 years after the 1960 deadline had passed without obedience, Our Lady appeared again. It was a subtler, but sterner message, no spectacular solar events, just blood, sweat and tears, symbols of suffering, and a dire warning. Our Lady of Akita’s message on this day, 42 years ago is even more relevant now in this time of the Synod, which afflicts entire Mystical Body of Christ so grievously.

Our Lady of Akita’s Message

“… if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never have seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by my Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and the priests.”

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres (other priests). Churches and altars will be sacked. The Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”

“The demon will be especially implacable against the souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sadness. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them.”

“. . . Pray very much the prayers of the Rosary. I alone am able still to save you from the calamities which approach. Those who place their confidence in me will be saved.“

Well, that was in 1973 and much has changed in these 42 years hasn’t it? It is all too clear that the faithful have not repented and the only changes have been for the worse. How many prelates have gone through the world, rallying Catholics to the messages of Fatima and Akita?

Did John Paul II warn those gathered in Assisi or the crowds who thronged to greet him everywhere he went, “Repent, stop offending God, do penance, make reparation, or you will all go down to hell!”? No, he did not even pray the Fatima decade prayer. He could have issued a Moto Proprio instituting the First Saturdays as specially indulgenced days when offered as Our Lady requested. Nope, he didn’t do that either. Did Pope Benedict, who said that Akita was essentially the same as Fatima, command Catholics to perform the Reparation ordered by either of those two appearances? Why not? Why has no pope done even a modicum of what Our Lady asked for?

Prayer of Our Lady of Akita

“Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, I consecrate my body and soul to be entirely one with Your Sacred Heart, being sacrificed at every instant on all the altars of the world and giving praise to the Father pleading for the coming of His Kingdom. Please receive this humble offering of myself. Use me as You will for the glory of the Father and the salvation of souls.

Most Holy Mother of God, never let me be separated from your Divine Son. Please defend and protect me as your special child. Amen.”

Our next post will address those questions and explore the meanings of the symbols. We’ll look at the messages within the context of the Synod and the ongoing revolution in the Church today. It’s clear that the time allotted to us to repent and amend our lives is nearly up. Let us make good use of the present time, for the darkness comes.

Restored April 25, 2020

UPDATE 4-25-2020: There is a concerted effort to appropriate the message of Akita to the false devotion in Amsterdam, “The Lady of all nations who once was Mary.” This is a typical post-conciliar devotion, approved by Novus Ordo Bishops. complicit in the Novus Ordo Mass, which is an on-going sacrilege against the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

This false image of “The Lady of all nations” demands recognition of her titles as a remedy for our times. Really. In contrast, at Fatima, Our Lady demands “Do not offend Him any more for He is already much offended.” She constantly refers us to her Divine Son, our Savior, which is consistent with Our Lady of Knock, who never ceased looking up to Heaven in prayer.  There is a strong similarity in this false apparition with that demanded by the false devotion to Saint Joseph, where he is demanding devotion to himself, a thing unheard of until these utterly self-absorbed times. True devotion to Saint Joseph honors him within the context of his devotion to Jesus and Mary and is an aid to our devotion to them.

A good Rule of thumb: Whatever promotes true devotion to the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts and does not distract or alter the established devotions. Note this well, it is highly improbable, if not impossible for a Bishop who is complicit in the Novus Ordo Mass to be a reliable spiritual guide regarding these false apparitions. Besides, why seek other apparitions when we have the perfect and totally traditional devotions of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts? Are Jesus and Mary not enough? What more does one receive from these false images?

It has been said that when men make idols they make them into their own image. The false image of The Lady – not Our Lady – is all about promoting herself, instead of drawing us to Lord Jesus Christ, the true goal of devotion to Mary, False devotions do not appeal to those who truly hear the Message of Our Lady of the Rosary. But God’s loving providence allows these false devotions in this time of winnowing. Soon we shall see them consumed by the chastisement.

The prophecy of Akita is only worthwhile insofar as it pertains to the Message of Fatima. The revelations we must focus on are the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
