Islam and the Errors of Russia, 2023

Originally posted on

Some years back, when this post first appeared, if you remember, the phenomenon of the massive influx of Muslim men into Europe was the subject of much speculation and discussion. Now, after the Hamas attack, perhaps it is becoming clearer, and there has been renewed interest in Our Lady of the Rosary’s Seventh Apparition, too.

And so, I’ve reposted the following little essay, but must explain one thing:  Communism did not ever die nor was it “tamed down”, nor did Russia transmogrify into just another democracy.  Soon enough, that will all will be clear, even to the most obtuse among us.  Communism, Islam, Zionism, , all serve the same master, as does the gentleman who has usurped the See of Peter. The post begins below:

Malachi Martin on the Apostasy of the Faith, 2023

“ALL DIVORCED WILL BE ADMITTED”

Pope Francis to Eugenio Scalfari of La Repubblica, the Pope’s favorite newspaper: “this is bottom line result, the de facto appraisals are entrusted to the confessors, but at the end of faster or slower paths, all the divorced who ask will be admitted.” (Rorate Caeli)

The above is shocking, of course, even though we knew it was coming to this. But to help us get  some perspective, let’s take a brief look at what Malachi Martin predicted back in the 1990’s.

Cardinal Manning’s Warning on Bergoglio’s Reformation

Today is the feast day of a wonderful saint – Peter of Alcantara, the holy Franciscan monk who was instrumental in Saint Teresa of Avila’s spirituality. She describes it beautifully in her autobiography. My copy is Volume I , Chapter XXX, of Complete Works, Peers trans., Sheed and Ward, 1944.

Cardinal Manning’s Warning

This essay was initially posted in 2014 and was lost in a web attack I experienced, the first of several. I changed hosts and rebuilt the post from memory and reposted with various editions from 2015 onward.

It’s a long post, but I hope you’ll read it- it’s helpful to review this in each new step of the Revolution to  understand the importance of what is occurring now. (The companion post, “A Headless Thing” is linked in the sidebar. )

The Eucharist and the Apocalypse, 2023

The following essay first appeared in 2015. It was intended as a warning that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Real Presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament is what is at stake. Now it is clear to all. And so, from 2015 :

The judgments executed by the Eucharistic Lamb upon Satan shall involve the whole world not to destroy but to chasten it and wrest it from the hands of Satan liberating the human race from his sordid servitude.
(Father Herman Bernard Kramer, The Book of Destiny)

Our good priests can (and often do!) prevent Eucharistic sacrilege and offer reparation for it. God bless our holy priests! To remind us of the pre-eminence of the Sacrifice of the Mass and the Blessed Sacrament in the unfolding of the Apocalypse, we offer the following.

They Realized They Were No longer in Rome

The following essay was first posted in 2015 and again in 2017. It’s worth revisiting and I offer it today in hopes you may find it of value. At the time I wrote it, in 2015, we had no idea how bad the Church’s situation would become under the usurpers so busily dismantling the Church,  but the storm-clouds were definitely looming and several other traditional Catholics were also sharing their forebodings. I won’t name them here, as I am not worthy to link myself to them, but each of them is now gone and as is evident, I’m well past my own expiry date.

When I first read St. John Bosco’s  prophecy, it impressed me with its coherence with the other prophecies for these times, especially those of the Apocalypse.

For so long now, the faith has suffered assault after assault, and still the awful humiliation and degradation of the Church continues unabated.  And yet we know that this is the providence of our Dear Lord, who endures these sufferings to allow us the extra time for penance, and for the conversion of sinners.

Think a moment, aren’t you much more aware of Our Lady’s message than you were ten years ago? Don’t you know of people who have begun to awaken to the terrible crisis? We must remember that Our Lord is suffering far, far more than we are, and He is  doing it, as He always does, for the salvation of souls. Let us not forsake Him now when He needs us so much, but renew our penances, prayers, fasts and alms so that many souls may be saved in the midst of this satanic onslaught.

Fatima, Vatican II and the Chastisement, 2023

Today’s post first appeared in May, 2015 and we bring it back today to see how fits with what we observe now. It was intended as the first in a series of posts in which we hoped to place the Message of Fatima, the Chastisement and the Apocalypse in context of our times. Now, eight years later, let’s see how things have developed.

From the original post:

Our Lady of Fatima’s message is a heaven-sent offer to restore faith in the Church and peace in our world. Even in 1917, it was clear that heresy, apostasy and schism were endangering the faith. To correct the growing secular humanism, Our Lady came, requesting prayer and penance, and offering the Pope and hierarchy a simple way to reaffirm their obedience to God. However, the hierarchy of the Church, while giving lip service to the Message of Fatima, in fact refused to comply with Our Lady’s messsage. By the disobedience of the Popes, God withdrew His grace more and more, until the year 1960.  Pope John XXIII’s  final act of disobedience set the Church adrift.

To understand the concept of “the Church adrift”, it is helpful to recall St. John Bosco’s vision. In May, 1862, Don Bosco told of a dream he had of the Church as a stately ship in stormy waters, being besieged by many lesser ships. The ship’s commander, the Pope, was attempting to bring the ship between two pillars to which he would moor it. After the Commander Pope was killed, another Pope took over and successfully moored the ship between the two columns. Don Bosco identified the smaller of the two pillars as Mary, Help of Christians and the larger one as the Most Blessed Sacrament, Salvation of Believers. Note, that in St. John Bosco’s dream, the ship of the Church was struggling to fight off attackers and return to safe harbor between the two pillars of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Eucharist. Thus, the Church was attempting to return to those devotions, implying that the Church had become unmoored from them. This was a prophetic vision of our post-conciliar church.

The Centenary of Fatima and the Passion of the Church, 2023

On Father Malachi Martin, Pope Benedict XVI and the Third Secret of Fatima, Satan’s War for Christ’s Church.

By request, repost from early 2017, still pertinent today.

Father Malachi Martin was bound, unfairly he believed, but nevertheless bound by an oath against revealing the Third Secret, or more properly, the third portion of the Secret of Fatima. But this chafed him so that he increasingly indicated insights into the secret’s meaning as time went by and the devil’s own chaos increased in the Church. It must have been a terrible burden to know that if only he were able to speak out, so many souls might have repented and been saved! But Father took solace in obedience, knowing as he did that it was by way of the arrogant disobedience of Popes that this assault from hell came about.

And so, even though bound by his oath, Father allowed certain insights. If we review all the hints he gave us in his books and interviews, they fall into a pattern roughly consisting of three portions,

Slash and Burn, Reboot

Today we have a post from back before the last presidential election, but perhaps it may be worth a read today.

Slash and burn agriculture is the process of cutting down the vegetation in a particular plot of land, setting fire to the remaining foliage, and using the ashes to provide nutrients to the soil for the use of planting food crops.

Recently, a kind and gentle reader remarked, “it is not surprising that we see the ground being prepared, tilled so to speak, in order to receive the seed of the consecration.”

I’ve taken some time to consider this reader’s thoughtful comment and concluded that the ground may be prepared by a slightly different method.

In the slash and burn method, as detailed above, what is hindering the restoration of the faith and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the glut of arrogant, disobedient and indifferent catholics who now occupy the Church, as laity and above all, as consecrated leaders, who conspire against her and serve the lord of this world.  By His usual effective methods, I believe that God will clear away the debris, and in these ashes, by the humility and obedience of the survivors, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Church will rise again. A chastened Pope will consecrate Russia, and a chastened Russia will welcome this.

Update mid-July 2023

Thank you for taking the time to read this today;  I’ve a brief update for you, followed by a repost of “Lot’s Wife and the Little Shepherds” from 2020.

When I began this latest – and final – attempt to restore Return to Fatima, I was 79, and struggling with the death of my husband of 60+ years, and an ongoing debilitating and terminal illness (or two, as it now seems) and the consequent end of life issues, both temporal and spiritual. Many readers drifted away, dissatisfied by my change of focus. Gone was the chatty evensong, replaced by the strictly functional person who merely reposts old essays and omits to carry on correspondence. It was truly all I could manage!

It is unavoidable for I am now 80, and how can I express to you the fatigue and suffering of these years; suffering that I have welcomed with an interior joy and peace, but which remains largely inexpressible to others.

Perhaps you yourself have noted that when we agree to welcome all the crosses given to us, we perhaps do not always fully understand that accepting God’s will does not in any way mean that the great sorrow and pain and the humilities will be mitigated, but that they will, at times, be allowed to show us a glimpse, only a glimpse, of His sweet love for us, miserable souls that we are. Crosses come and go, humility endures.

Writing this today has taken much longer than I anticipated! I got off on a tangent again, and began speaking once more the same warnings I’ve given so often, and which, I’ve been informed have only served to turn readers away. Warnings against the plethora of false apparitions, false devotions and pious frauds which appear to be irresistible to so many today.

Like Lot’s wife, many simply cannot resist the impulse to satisfy that curiosity that itches at them, and distracts them from the safe, secure path offered by Our Lady of the Rosary.

My only answer to them is that the chastisement has not yet even begun, as we are soon to see. The world has not seen such as is to come, the darkness, plague, famine and war of unimaginable severity.

Sacred Priesthood and  Holy Sacrifice

And yet, it could have been even worse were it not for the rescue of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the Sacred Priesthood. I tell you that even the devout of the Novus Ordo – yes there are such! – have to thank the priests who persist, against all odds, in offering the Holy Sacrifice, persist in their pure and holy priesthood. For they have brought floods of grace to their brothers in Christ. But for how long? What will the coming onslaught bring? Only through the Immaculate Heart of Mary will we be safe in this dark and fierce chastisement.

The Work of the Devil, 2023

“Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed;
nor hidden, that shall not be known.”
(Luke 12, 1-3)

previously posted in August, 2018 and updated for 2023 by evensong

In the earlier version of this post, five years ago, we focused on the scandal of the priest sex abuse crisis but that has long since become “old news” and the world has moved on to the endlessly fascinating “trans-sexual” situation which grows more Orwellian by the day. So let’s not go there. We also quoted the Akita prophecy which has been discounted by some today. I am leaving the prophecy in this essayand will return to it at a later date.

But now let’s take a look at that essay:

. . . There is a very real possibility that the long silent, although never publically acknowledged schism in the Church may become official. The question now will be for the individual Bishops to decide where they will stand. We are all aware of the familiar prophecy of Our Lady of Akita,

“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against other bishops.”

Indeed, that moment is upon us, now it is over the Mass. So what are we to glean from all this? We might consider some prophecies.

“75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those
who will give themselves over to my service.”

In the auditory portion of the well-known prophecy of Pope Leo XIII, you will recall Jesus acceded to Satan’s request for “75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those who will give themselves over to my service.” This indicated the removal of “what withholds” as also prophesied and explained by Cardinal Manning. Quoting St. Paul, in 2 Thess, Ch 2, v 6-8:

“And now you know what withholdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh: only that he who now holdeth, do hold, until he be taken out of the way, …Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying: that all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity:”

Cardinal Manning goes on to note:

“The authority, then, from which the revolt is to take place is that of the kingdom of God on earth, prophesied by Daniel as the kingdom which the God of heaven should set up after the four kingdoms should be destroyed by the stone cut out without hands, which became a great mountain and filled the whole earth; or, in other words, the one and universal Church, founded by our Divine Lord, and spread by His Apostles throughout the world.” (See our previous posts on Cardinal Manning’s prophecy, here and, here.)

Therefore, it refers to the strength of the Holy Catholic Church, in particular of the Vicar of Christ, the Pope. It is the authority of the Church which has been “taken out of the way”, that is to say, the Popes following the Second Vatican Council undermined their own papal authority, as well as the authority of the church, by collegiality, synodality and false ecumenism. The Popes themselves in their disobedience of the requests of the true Head of the Church, Jesus Christ, through His most Blessed Mother, have removed themselves as Guardians of the faith, as true shepherds of the flock of Christ.

The second, visual portion of Pope Leo’s revelation was the vision of a multitude of demons converging on the Eternal City, which I must confess that I cannot visualize without thinking of the cocaine fueled sodomites carousing at Capozzi’s “gay soirée”. Therefore I see it as being fulfilled in this present time. However, some apply it to the passage in the Apocalypse, Chapter 20, v 8: “And they came upon the breadth of the earth, and encompassed the camp of the saints, and the beloved city.” Despite their assertions, Chapter 20 does not refer to these times but to the time after the promised period of peace. We are in the time of locusts, of the smoke of satan, when the Bergoglian Church is persecuting the Church from within. That “camp of the saints” quote refers to the attack of the nations of the world led by the Antichrist against the Church, from without, as in the final battle.

The Choice

More correctly: We are now in the period where Christ has allowed the Popes and the bishops the choice of obeying Our Lady in her requests at Fatima, or of disobeying. If they choose to disobey, as they have, then it follows that the disobedient Popes themselves weaken their authority and thus weaken the power of the Church, allowing the entrance into the Church of the most pernicious errors in doctrine and in the practice of the faith. It was Popes John and Paul that opened the Church to the enemy now within, and Pope John Paul II who presided over the massive infiltration of the Church by homoheretics in the seminaries, universities and particularly, advancing in the episcopacy.

The demons swarming over the Vatican in Pope Leo’s vision are those that have been welcomed in by those within the Vatican, even up to the very top echelon, who have welcomed the ancient enemy by their apostasy from the faith and their sacrilegious sexual perversions, offering the sacred mysteries with filthy hands and hearts, whited sepulchres filled with all manner of indecency and corruption and despised even by the devils they serve.

For this, we quote from Pope Leo XIII’s Prayer to St. Michael:

“This wicked dragon pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity. These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the Immaculate Lamb, and have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions (Lam 3:15). In the Holy Place itself, where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been struck, the sheep may be scattered.”

REVELATION

Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is Wisdom, has thus allowed the evil to manifest itself so that it may be driven forth, as evil is always driven forth, by fasting, penance, and prayer, and ultimately and most decisively, by the blood of martyrs, which renews and vivifies the faith. For make no mistake, it will come to pass, even as the Holy Ghost revealed to St. John:

“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (holy and true) dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given to every one of them one; and it was said to them, that they should rest for a little time, till their fellow servants, and their brethren, who are to be slain, even as they, should be filled up.” (Apoc. 6, 9-11)

The blood of the martyrs cries out for justice;
in no other way can reparation be made now.

What is our role in all this? We must stand firm in the true faith and with those priests and bishops who have not betrayed the Bride of Christ. At a minimum, we must recognise the true evil, and pray for those who are brave enough to confront it, and console Our Lord Who is so much offended. In addition, we must give the fullest consent of our will to obeying Our Lady of the Rosary in her Fatima  requests. And we bear in mind that we are, after all, our brother’s keeper. She repeatedly asked for us to pray for sinners, and to ignore that plea is to become one with those who betray her.

We can not turn from this responsibility to pray and sacrifice for sinners, especially our hierarchy and priests.

We note here that of course, this does not preclude our taking action when it becomes clear to us, in all this diabolical confusion what the proper action is. But no one can take effective action, that is, action which is pleasing to God because it obeys His will, until he is prepared spiritually, that is, able to live his consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, His beloved Mother.

We all pray that God will send us a leader to unite behind and a clear path to follow, and this leader will be one who is totally consecrated to the Immaculata and completely faithful to her message at Fatima. God’s providence will grant us this leader when we return to devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who is “the seat of mercy, of goodness and of pardon, and the certain door by which we are to enter Heaven.”

There’s a reason for these posts I’m resurrecting here. But I do understand that few will note it. For those who do, please pray for the others, who are not able to help themselves or their loved ones.

Pray the Rosary and confound satan and those who serve him!

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.

Remember – Our Lady needs us to obey:  First Saturdays of Reparation, daily rosary, at least 5 mysteries, wear her brown scapular and live your Total Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, offering daily duties in reparation and for the conversion of poor sinners.

“Open your hearts to the Lord and serve Him only: and He will free you from the hands of your enemies. With all your heart return to Him, and take away from your midst any strange gods” (I Kings 7:3)

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.
†  St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Please pray for the Pope and Bishops who will obediently Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

~ by evensong for love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ, King.
Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!
