A Headless Thing, 2023

previously posted on : july 26, 2021  by : evensong

Thought for today:
“The already schism-split and heresy-ridden Roman Catholic body will then be a headless thing,
a complicated machine exploding in all directions . . .”

The day that a sizable body of Roman Catholics, clergy and laity, become convinced—rightly or wrongly—that the then occupant of the apostolic throne of Peter is not, perhaps never was, a validly elected pope, that day the presently continuous piece-by-piece deterioration of the organizational structure will be quickened into a muffled collapse of the entire organization. The already schism-split and heresy-ridden Roman Catholic body will then be a headless thing, a complicated machine exploding in all directions into fragments, because its secure casing and capstone cover were shattered.

“For the only tangible guarantee Roman Catholics have that a man has truly become Pope is the legal guarantee of valid election in a legal Conclave of legal cardinals. Their faith then assures them that through this man and his predecessors they are in historical relationship with Jesus Christ, who founded the Church, and in supernatural relationship with Christ as He now is in the Heaven of God’s glory. The legality—or validity, to use the ecclesiastical term—of a papal election depends on the exact observance, in the presence of witnesses, of the various visible and controllable procedures laid down in the rules for papal elections.

“The final outcome of the election—a validly elected pope—is attained only with the freely pronounced Accepto of the Pope-elect. This is why Cardinal Laurenti, who became Pope-elect at the Conclave of February 1922, could never be regarded as Pope: He did freely decline to accept the pontificate, having been validly elected by the due majority. No one has to accept the Petrine Office. A pope-elect who refuses to accept is not obliged to explain why he has refused it, just as a pope who resigns the office is not obliged to explain why he has resigned.

“What does the term “freely” mean when we say that the Pope-elect must freely accept or reject his election to the pontificate? Take, for example, the Conclave of 1903, which produced as Pope Pius X Giuseppe Melchiorre Cardinal Sarto. But Sarto was not the prime choice of those sixty-two Cardinal Electors. After one voting session and scrutiny of the votes, on August 1, the first day of the Conclave, it was clear that the required majority (twenty-nine in this instance; Sarto got only five votes in that session) went to Italian-born Mariano Cardinal Rampolla del Tindaro. Rampolla, if allowed, would have pronounced the required Accepto, would therefore have become Pope automatically. But he was not allowed to accept the pontificate.

“At that time, Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria had the privilege from the Vatican of vetoing any pope-elect he did not fancy. Rampolla he did not fancy—but the majority of Cardinal Electors never found out in their lifetime why it was so. The ostensible reason given for the Emperor’s veto was Rampolla’s record of political opposition to Austria and his support of France. So, on August 2, the Polish-born Jan Cardinal Puzyna of Austria-Hungary stood up in the Conclave and announced the Emperor’s veto on Rampolla. Rampolla and the other Cardinal Electors bowed to the Austrian veto, because he and all the cardinals knew exactly what damage the persnickety Franz Joseph could cause the Churchmen in Central Europe, where the domains of the Austro-Hungarian empire stretched.

“In that sense, Rampolla’s Non accepto was free. He and the other cardinals freely accepted the existence of that veto. But insofar as the Emperor’s veto impeded the cardinals’ having the pope they freely chose, and impeded Rampolla from acceding to their overwhelming wish, neither they nor he was free. Yet no one then or since would hold that Rampolla was the real Pope, that Sarto-—the Pope-elect produced by a later session of voting and scrutiny—was not validly Pope.

“It was only in subsequent years that the true motive for Franz Joseph’s veto was revealed. The Emperor was privy to a very closely held secret: Cardinal Rampolla had joined the Lodge of Freemasons. Without any doubt, the Emperor had the right to veto a papal candidate he did not fancy. Rampolla and the Electors bowed to the exercise of that privilege.

“But an entirely different situation would arise if a pope-elect were prevented from accepting the papacy by someone who had no right to do so, someone who threatened ruin and death to a pope-elect’s reputation and family and person if he accepted his election as pope. Such a threat would be unjust, would be an undue limitation on the freedom of the Cardinal Electors. In that instance, the Pope-Elect would be in no way free. Unjust force and pressure would rob him of his freedom and would rob the Church of its validly elected Pope.

“But very tortuous questions can thus arise. Nowadays, for instance, there is no state power or individual to whom the Holy See has granted a formal veto power on popes-elect. There is, however, a different category of persons outside the Conclave that the Holy See recognizes as having a legitimate interest in the actual identity of the new Pope. The Cardinal Electors entering a Conclave today are aware of which papal candidate is persona non grata to which interested outside party. Veto it is not, in the old formal sense; yet the likes and dislikes of such outside parties are certainly taken into account. And, therefore, at least theoretically, the situation can arise in which a duly elected candidate for the pontificate is vetoed.

“In such a case—and it is not as theoretical as it would sound—very puzzling questions would emerge concerning the election of a second pope-elect in the same Conclave. Those questionings could blossom into a persuasion that the second election was invalid, that indeed the freedom of the Electors had been unduly manacled, and that the Church had been hoodwinked, and that the valid Pope-Elect had been sidetracked. If such a persuasion was shared by a sizable body of Roman Catholics, the consequences could be dire for Church unity.

“The same catastrophe of disintegration would desolate the Roman Catholic institutional organization—this is the second dreadful possibility—if a sizable body of Roman Catholic clergy and laity became convinced, rightly or wrongly, that the then occupant of the Throne of Peter was elected quite validly but over time had become heretical, and was actually collaborating, actively or passively, in the piece-by-piece dismemberment of the sacred Petrine Office and its ministerial organization. For a pope who became a heretic would cease to be pope. In such a situation, the principal cause of disintegration would be the lack of any authoritative voice in the Church structure by which Catholics would be assured authoritatively that their Pope had or had not fallen into heresy.

“For there is no official mechanism within the structure of the Church that is authorized to pass judgment on pope and papacy.  Indeed, the Church’s official code of ecclesiastical law, canon law, expressly denies to anyone the right or duty of passing official judgment on pope or papacy.

“Only once so far in this century did a situation arise when a pope, Paul VI, did contemplate and take the first steps along a course of action that some of his closest advisers thought would have entailed certain heresy. This arose because of the way in which Paul VI originally proposed to change the age-old and all-important ceremony of the Roman Mass. His first version of a new Mass ceremony, those advisers argued, if ever it had been imposed and enforced throughout the Church Universal, would effectively have done away with those elements of the ceremony that were and still today are dogmatically essential to the successful confection of the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of His death.

“At least two cardinals, Ottaviani and Bacci, made it clear privately to Pope Paul VI and publicly to third parties that if he went ahead with his plans for the new Mass ceremony, they would not hesitate to denounce him publicly to the whole Church as a heretic and as deposed from the Throne of Peter. They were prepared to denounce his new Mass ceremony as reeking of heresy. The faithful would thereby have been released from all allegiance and obedience to Pope Paul VI. He would have ceased to be pope.

“In the event, Pope Paul, under such a dire threat from two prestigious cardinals, retreated from his original proposal; and the Church was spared a harrowing experience. But it is to be noted that neither Ottaviani nor Bacci nor any of the other Churchmen involved had any juridical right to make the threat or to carry it out. The mere threat frightened Paul VI into retreat; by modifying his first version of the new Mass in order to eliminate the most glaringly offensive elements of his original text, and by counter-threatening Cardinal Ottaviani with deprivation of the Sacraments, he escaped official censure at the hands of his Vatican colleagues. That 1967 crisis was kept under Vatican wraps.

“Thus a great searing and divisive rift could split Church members, some siding with the Pope, others declaring him invalidated by his alleged heresy. Inevitably, at least two Church bodies would emerge, each contesting the other, each claiming to be orthodox. Whether an attempt to elect a new (and supposedly orthodox) pope would be made by those who believed the original Pope to be heretical, or whether solid segments of the Catholic body would detach themselves from obedience to the accused Pope, the effect—disintegration—would be a wholesale loss of faith in the papacy, resulting in abandonment of Catholic religious practice and observance of Catholic moral precepts, which would be followed by the adoption of the “cafeteria” religion John Paul II has derided, the “pick-and-choose” Catholicism of many millions of Catholics today in North America and throughout the Western world.

“There is one other possible development within the Roman Catholic body that, if unchecked, could shatter its unity of structure. Briefly, this is the Conclave election of a papal candidate whose policy would be to dissolve the unity and change the structure of the Roman Catholic Church by simply abandoning the exercise of the Petrine Office and privilege on which the structural unity of the Church is built as a visible body and by disassociating the approximately four thousand bishops of the Church from their collegial submission to the papacy—the principle on which they have been, up to now, structured. All this would mean a new function for the Bishop of Rome, and not the traditional one; it would also entail a new relationship of all bishops, including the Bishop of Rome, to each other.”

The above quote was written by Father Malachi Martin in the late 1980’s and published in his book, The Keys of this Blood in 1990. I post it today as a reminder that the speculation which is rampant these days is ignoring several basic facts of our situation and I believe, is playing right into the adversary’s hands.  Consider:

“For there is no official mechanism within the structure of the Church that is authorized to pass judgment on pope and papacy.  Indeed, the Church’s official code of ecclesiastical law, canon law, expressly denies to anyone the right or duty of passing official judgment on pope or papacy.”

If the persons now so busily stirring up the faithful succeed in their efforts, and get a good groundswell of public opinion going, and the faithful rise up and demand “something must be done” like the good pavlovian revolutionaries they are becoming, what do you think will happen? Is there anyone today who has prayerfully considered what Our Lord Jesus Christ would think of this?

The error in all this stems from not recognising that this crisis is the spiritual chastisement Our Lady came to warn us of. She gave us the remedy, which we have often discussed here.   But her message is treated with indifference, even by those who repeat it as their justification for their own plans, which in no way resemble what Our Lady of the Rosary requested.

Once again, no matter how many times you shout that Pope Benedict was the true pope and that Francis is not the pope, that he is a heretic, all these hysterics will achieve is to play into the destroyer pope’s hands. He wants to change the church irreversibly as he and his supporters have stated numerous times.

We have been given the most simple and effective means for countering this pope’s destructive intentions. But who will follow Our Lady? To be clear: I am not proposing that we engage in a form of catacombism, that is, of withdrawing to a pacifism or ghettoism.

Not at all. I am only reminding traditional Catholics that this is a spiritual battle first and foremost. And the victory has already been given to the Immaculata. By her, we will win. Obeying her, we shall not fail.

At this point, I am discouraged with many bloggers and the gullible ones who follow them..  This is truly the power of darkness.

And this chastisement will not pass until sufficient reparation is made. Do what you will, you cannot correct arrogant disobedience with anything other than humility and obedience, a humble and contrite heart. We must make reparation, not seek our own wills.

Return to Fatima. Pray the Rosary and confound satan and those who serve him.

Remember – Our Lady needs us to obey:  First Saturdays of Reparation, daily rosary, at least 5 mysteries, wear her brown scapular and live your Total Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, offering daily duties in reparation and for the conversion of poor sinners.

†  Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.
†  Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy kingdom come! Viva Cristo Rey!
†  St. Joseph, protect us, protect our families, protect our priests.
†  St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.

Vouchsafe that I may praise thee, O Sacred Virgin! Give me strength against thine enemies!

Saint John Bosco’s Feast Day, 2023

previously posted January 31, 2020 by evensong

Today is the feast day of good Saint John Bosco, a favorite of mine and so we have a few of his prophecies which are quite apt for this especial time. To introduce them, another brief quote, this time from Apocalypse (Chapter 6, 9-14).

“When he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (holy and true) dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

“And white robes were given to every one of them one; and it was said to them, that they should rest for a little time, till their fellow servants, and their brethren, who are to be slain, even as they, should be filled up.

“And I saw, when he had opened the sixth seal, and behold there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood: And the stars from heaven fell upon the earth, as the fig tree casteth its green figs when it is shaken by a great wind: And the heaven departed as a book folded up: and every mountain, and the islands were moved out of their places.”

The above is something to think about. For more than 10 years I have written about it but few give heed. And now for St. John Bosco; first, his Dream (vision) of the Two Pillars.

Fatima – the Chastisement of Impurity, 2022

“Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle
against the Blessed Virgin.”

(Sister Lucia of Fatima, 1957)

In her last interview with Father Agustin Fuentes, December 26, 1957, Sister Lucia of Fatima, perhaps aware that she was about to be silenced by the Vatican, warned us all,

“Father, the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin. And the devil knows what it is that most offends God and which in a short space of time will gain for him the greatest number of souls. Thus, the devil does everything to overcome souls consecrated to God, because in this way, the devil will succeed in leaving souls of the faithful abandoned by their leaders, thereby the more easily will he seize them.

“That which afflicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus is the fall of religious and priestly souls. The devil knows that religious and priests who fall away from their beautiful vocation drag innumerable souls to Hell … The devil wishes to take possession of consecrated souls. He tries to corrupt them in order to lull to sleep the souls of laypeople and thereby lead them to final impenitence.” (Sister Lucia of Fatima to Father Agustin Fuentes, December, 1957)

Of Bread, Battle and Penitence, 2022

Note: The errors in this post have been brought to my attention and corrected as of Dec. 29, 2022,. Thank you all for your kind patience with me. evensong
The following post was intended to go online during Advent but I overlooked it. Even though it is now Christmastide, our duty to offer reparation remains as urgent as ever. It was first published in 2020

In this Advent-time, many remark on the strangeness of this Christmas – similar to Christmas in war-time, such uncertainty looming over us all – the heaviness of the atmosphere portending worse to come. Worse in what way? There are so many! As we look to the birth of our dear Savior, made small and helpless for our salvation, born in Bethlehem, “House of Bread”, House of Battle”, we are reminded that this battle is over our Emmanuel, our God with us, made little and helpless to abide with us always in the Eucharist, His sacrament of love which is also our food for the battle now raging. Food which is denied to many at present due to the craven cowardice of our own shepherds; false shepherds who have abandoned their sheep.

And yet, Lucifer’s dark power is no match for the Woman clothed with the Sun. For in the City of David was born of this pure Virgin, flesh of her pure flesh, God of true God and Food of everlasting life, the Conqueror of Darkness, of sin and of death. Christ our Lord. As we will see, even as this darkness increases, the way is prepared for the dawn of our salvation and it will come through the Immaculata, Gate of Dawn, through which the Sun of Justice will return.

A Message to the Laodiceans

previously posted on : december 20, 2017 by : evensong
“… thou sayest: I am rich, and made wealthy, and have need of nothing: and knowest not, that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”

The following was originally posted December 2017 by evensong.

This post has been occasioned by the regrettable Nativity Scene placed by Pope Francis, this year, the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of the Rosary’s visits to Fatima in 1917. This Christmas he has outdone himself utterly! Note that instead of the heavenly star leading us to the creche at Bethlehem, we have a star falling downward over a desolate jumble of images which distract from and denigrate the birth of Our Lord. The Blessed Virgin is depicted spraddle-legged like a coarse woman, lacking in dignity and piety but the obvious “star of the show” is the homo-erotic man posing in the typical, over-the-top  style affected by the Lavender Mafia, who now flaunt their triumph in the Bergoglian Reformation of the Vatican..

Thus Pope Francis gives us a reminder that Advent is a penitential season.  This chaotic, disturbing image which the Vatican presents in place of  a respectful  commemoration of the true Nativity of Christ our Savior is an excellent  image of this false church of the Bergoglian Reformation which has eclipsed the true Church. The backdrop of Bergoglio’s “Nativity” (Of what??) appears to be a ruined facade, and behind that backdrop is the Vatican, occupied by the Enemy at present. Actually, an iconic image, isn’t it? It is no wonder that the  Abbey of Montevergine, which donated the innovative ‘Nativity of Mercy,’ houses the Marian image that has been adopted as patroness by LGBT activists in Italy, according to Lifesite News’s Diane Montagna, here.

At Return to Fatima,  we have asserted many times that when the popes ignored the Message of Fatima and refused to obey Our Lady of the Rosary, the hierarchy of the Church began to fall into error; until at last we saw Pope John XXIII fulfill the prophecy of  Apocalypse 8 as Wormwood. For it was he who made bitter the sacred waters of the faith, causing many souls to die; and who, of course, is hailed as a “saint” by the modernist occupiers.

In our post, “The Fifth Trumpet“, we explained that the second Fallen Star is Pope Paul VI who opened the bottomless pit, and brought in the smoke of satan, allowing the demons of hell access to the heart of the Church,  This was also foreseen by Pope Leo XIII who saw the Vatican literally crawling with demons, swarming all over it.

The Wrath of the Lamb 2022

We originally posted “The Wrath of the Lamb” several years ago. As the dreary Bergoglian pontificate drags on,  we begin to wonder when we shall see this Wrath. . . Patience.

“And they say to the mountains and the rocks, ‘Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.”  (Apoc. 6, 16)

Far from being frightening, the above verse is meant to be a consolation. Indeed, the entire Apocalypse is God’s gift of consolation to Christians who are perennially in danger of being swept up in the maelstrom of the spiritual battle to destroy the Church. In a similar way, Our Blessed Mother’s  true messages, from the beginning of the Age of Apostasy have been both a Mother’s stern warning and a promise of her provision for us. Yes, she shows us hell and the dire consequences of disobedience, but she also promises us she will be our sure path to eternal life with Jesus our Lord.

Now that we have a truly hellish situation, an apostate pope and a weak and faithless hierarchy unable or unwilling to confront him or otherwise defend the faith, we look to the Apocalypse and to the Messages of Our Immaculate Mother, to seek guidance and consolation.

In this post, in 2017, I wrote: Do you remember Father Amorth’s warning that unless the Pope and Bishops obeyed Our Lady of Fatima and consecrated Russia in October, the Chastisement would begin in earnest? And now it is clear to see: This is what the spiritual chastisement of the Church is. It is here now. You have the Pope and the Bishops extolling the “virtues” of Martin Luther, the vulgar and despicable heresiarch. And the Pope’s representative proclaiming  marxism in the gigantic slave state of China a veritable utopia. Thus they mock Our Lord Himself, to kick Him as He falls beneath this heavy cross.

To those who are paying attention, this is a terrifying time, as we await the denouement that is looming ever larger. These times are both surpassingly sad, and frightening. We know that the arrogant misuse of the teaching authority of the Church will bring, in God’s own time, His justice. In St. John’s Apocalypse, this is referred to as the “Wrath of the Lamb”. In Father Herman Kramer’s “Book of Destiny“, of Apocalypse, Chapter 6, verses 15-17, we read:

“And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and tribunes, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman, and every freeman, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of mountains:
“And they say to the mountains and the rocks: Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of their wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand?”

Notice that St. John enumerates seven categories of society: kings, princes, tribunes, the rich, the strong, bondmen and freemen. In the present case, the use of the numeral seven denotes a fullness and may be applied here to the fullness of the visible hierarchy of the Church, from Pope on down. In these seven categories, what is missing? The strong and the rich are included, while the weak and the poor are not! That is because the faithful, who are cast out by the heretics who appear to control the Church, are the poor and the weak, powerless in this satanic takeover.

As the hidden message of Fatima indicated, the apostasy infects the very top all the way down. In this corrupt milieu, only the faithful are made unwelcome. And what happens to these who betray Christ and pervert His teachings?

They will hide themselves and beg the mountains and rocks to fall upon them. Anything to hide them from the face of God, and from the wrath of the Lamb of God, the very Saviour they have betrayed. Now we must ask, how shall this come to pass? For the answer, we must look to our history. This passage in Chapter 6 has often (rightly) been applied to the Arian heresy, and is even more applicable in this age of the Bergoglian Reformation.

Father Kramer reminds us that those who believe in Him need never fear Our Lord’s judgments, for these “little ones”, the faithful, belong to Him and they draw even closer to His – and their – Blessed Mother during this time of trial. In contrast to the faithful, ” the heretics and hypocrites who live an earthly life and are of the earth.” do fear His wrath.

The term, “Wrath of the Lamb” indicates a severe judgment on prelates for Eucharistic abuses. It indicates a fearsome reprisal for those who desecrate the Eucharist, not merely the laymen, but particularly the hierarchy to whom Our Lord has entrusted His Sacred Mysteries and who shamelessly betray Him.

Fr. Kramer: “The Arian bishops and priests sought the honors and income of the Catholic Church for their enjoyment and aggrandizement and accepted their appointments from the emperors.”

Put into today’s context, they sought the approval of the world even to the point of denying Christ and His teachings. This is rightly applied to the Pope and Cardinals who bask in the approval of the rulers of this world who serve the enemy of Christ, the Lord of this World.

“They denied the divinity of Christ. This implicitly denied the belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. The Lamb now comes upon them in judgment. Hence they fear His wrath. Before the (barbarian) invasions they spread Arianism among the barbarians. But in the turmoil of the invasions, Arianism almost disappeared. The Vandals adhered to it, but their kingdom was destroyed by the Greeks, and the nation later vanished under Saracen conquest. The Visigoths clung to it for a while but also fell under the sway of the Saracens for seven hundred years. Arianism was thus rooted out by the barbarian invasions and Mohammedanism, and the unity of Christendom was saved until the sixteenth century. (In which Luther and Henry VIII emerged to persecute the faith anew).

In the sad scenario before us today, we see that the corrupted leadership of the Church cannot save themselves, much less the faith. To understand what God may do, our guide is the true and reliable Catholic prophecy we have been given. It is quite possible that the next steps in the chastisement will be as Father Kramer describes in his commentary on Chapter 6, that is, invading hordes of Islam to sack and scourge unfaithful Rome, to cleanse the filth from the Church. If we are to believe Sister Lucia’s vision of the chastisement and Our Lady of Akita’s message, – and we should! – Then we see that this scourge will be accompanied by tremendous upheavals of nature, wiping out a great deal of mankind.

Are we then to give in to paralyzing fear? No, for we are after all, Mary’s children, and we draw closer to her in times of trial, trusting to her to abide in Christ in all things. As the chastisement overflows from the spiritual realm into the realm of this world, affecting cultures, nations, and nature, we look to her, as the eyes of a handmaid are on the hands of her mistress.

The Wrath of the Lamb is both a warning and a promise to those who heed it. As Our Lord said, they will obey, “but it will be late”. We have all heard it said that, the later the obedience, the greater the chastisement, Watch what Francis and his destroyers do, they now believe themselves invincible and this was perhaps, inevitable, for “pride goeth before destruction”, doesn’t it? As the spiritual chastisement continues, and intensifies, we will all suffer greatly, but some will suffer unto eternal glory, while some … will not… and so we pray for them, the poor lost souls of our leaders, for their sake and for the souls of so many.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of our hearts, Mother of the Church, do thou offer to the Eternal Father the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ, for the conversion of poor sinners, especially our Pontiff.

†  Open your hearts to the Lord and serve Him only: and He will free you from the hands of your enemies. With all your heart return to Him, and take away from your midst any strange gods” (I Kings 7:3)

Most Precious Blood of Jesus, save us, save our priests.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
Joseph protect our families, protect our priests.
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Remember, pray the rosary and confound the devil!

Reparation, Obedience and the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Today, I only offer a brief recap for those of you who have likely been somewhat disappointed that yesterday’s post was not updated. I’m sorry but have not been able to be very active, as I’m now receiving home therapy and it is both time-consuming and exhausting.. Today’s post was originally about the errors of a specific “trad” who posted the usual errors against Our Lady of the Rosary and her requests at Fatima, but since that time, a few years back, the poor man has lost his faith utterly and so now, it is prayers that are called for,

But the message remains useful, I trust.

Sufferings and reparation

On her first visit,  May 13, 1917, Our Lady asked the children,

“Do you want to offer yourselves to God to endure all the sufferings that He may choose to send you, as an act of reparation for the sins by which He is offended and as a supplication for the conversion of sinners?” Lucia promptly answered, “Yes! We want to!” “Then you are going to suffer a great deal, but the grace of God will be your comfort.”

A month later, on her second visit, she explained,

“Jesus wishes to make use of you to make Me known and loved. He wants to establish in the world devotion to My Immaculate Heart. To whoever embraces this devotion I promise salvation; these souls shall be dear to God, as flowers placed by Me to adorn His throne.”

It was on the Third Visit, on July 13, 1917, that Our Lady explained her Message most fully.

Cardinal Manning on Bergoglio’s Reformation

Previously Posted on  October 19, 2016
This is a long post, but thank you for reading- it is necessary to review this in order to  understand the importance of what is occurring now. Never before in Church history has the declared and accepted Vicar of Christ promoted such destructive policies against our Lord Jesus Christ. As in St. John Bosco’s Vision of the Two Pillars, the Barque of Peter has become unmoored and has entered into dangerous waters. Since posting this earlier today, please note that new material has been added. Please take some time to prayerfully consider:

Long before Cardinals Danneels, Marx and Kasper got their man, Bergoglio in the See of Peter, a holy Cardinal in England, a convert actually, foretold much of what we are now seeing. Cardinal Henry Edward Manning in “The Present Crisis in the Holy See”,  warned of a grave crisis facing the Church. The book’s four chapters, “The Progress of the Mystery of Iniquity, the Antichrist, What Holds Back the Antichrist  and The Apostasy of Rome“, are a solemn warning to the Church for these times.

Fatima, Vatican II and the Chastisement I

The following is a restoration from a post of 2015.

This is the introduction to a planned series of posts in which we hope to place the Message of Fatima, particularly the Chastisement and the Second Vatican Council in context. Our Lady of Fatima’s message is a heaven-sent offer to restore faith in the Church and peace in our world.

Even in 1917, it was clear that heresy, apostasy and schism were endangering the faith. To correct the growing secular humanism, Our Lady came, requesting prayer and penance, and offering the Pope and hierarchy a simple way to reaffirm their obedience to God. However, the hierarchy of the Church, while giving lip service to the Message of Fatima, in fact refused to comply. By the disobedience of the Popes, God withdrew His grace more and more, until the year 1960. Pope John XXIII’s final act of disobedience set the Church adrift.

To understand the concept of “the Church adrift”, it is helpful to recall St. John Bosco’s Vision of the Two Pillars. In May, 1862, Don Bosco told of a dream he had of the Church as a stately ship in stormy waters, being besieged by many lesser ships. The ship’s commander, the Pope, was attempting to bring the ship between two pillars to which he would moor it. After the Commander Pope was killed, another Pope took over and successfully moored the ship between the two columns. Don Bosco identified the smaller of the two pillars as Mary, Help of Christians and the larger one as the Most Blessed Sacrament, Salvation of Believers.

And the Sixth Angel Sounded the Trumpet

posted on : november 7, 2018  by : evensong
“One woe is past, and behold there come yet two woes more hereafter.
And the sixth angel sounded the trumpet:”

[13] … and I heard a voice from the four horns of the great altar, which is before the eyes of God, [14] Saying to the sixth angel, who had the trumpet: Loose the four angels, who are bound in the great river Euphrates. [15] And the four angels were loosed, who were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year: for to kill the third part of men.

[16] And the number of the army of horsemen was twenty thousand times ten thousand. And I heard the number of them. [17] And thus I saw the horses in the vision: and they that sat on them, had breastplates of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone, and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions: and from their mouths proceeded fire, and smoke, and brimstone. [18] And by these three plagues was slain the third part of men, by the fire and by the smoke and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
