Reparation for Blasphemy against Mary

Throughout the long history of the Faith, there have been persecutions and injustices directed against Christians and especially against the Blessed Virgin Mary.. In these times, the enemy of the Church is within and the attack is directed against Our Lord in His Mass, His Blessed Sacrament and in His Immaculate Mother.

Now, any battle begins with intelligence, not sentiment. We must know what the attack consists of, who is doing it and how they are doing it. One serious way that many people are led astray is by their ignorance and willful ignorance is no excuse.  It is my hope that as we become aware of the extremely grave nature of this pontiff’s offenses against the Catholic faith and most particularly against the Blessed Virgin and Our Lord Jesus Christ, we will become fervent in living our consecrations to Jesus through the Immaculata, living them with ever greater dedication, keeping First Saturdays of Reparation, offering all your daily duties and the small, tedious sacrifices they entail for the love and glory of God and the conversion of sinners and the triumph of the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Church will  be cleansed and restored, don’t you want to be a part of that?

Five Blasphemies Against the Mother of God

In 1930, Sister Lucia asked Our Lord Jesus Christ why five First Saturdays instead of any other number. Sister Lucia said that Our Lord explained that there are five offenses against the Immaculate Heart of His Mother which require reparation. They are:

    • Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception;
    • Blasphemies against Her Perpetual Virginity;
    • Blasphemies against Her Divine Maternity, in refusing at the same time to recognize Her as the Mother of men.
    • Blasphemies of those who publicly seek to sow in the hearts of children indifference or scorn, or even hatred of our Immaculate Mother;
  • The offenses of those who outrage Her directly in Her holy images.

The Immaculate Conception of the Mother of God

The truth of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, the Mother of God is the basis for all devotion to Mary. By undermining it, satan weakens and corrupts all devotion to Mary, who is the Mediatrix of our salvation. God the Father willed to give the world His only begotten Son through a woman, and to this end, He decreed that this Woman be perfectly, flawlessly pure, with no slightest stain of sin, ever. Satan rages at this fact and in these days, strives with all his might to eradicate this truth from the hearts of men, the better to deprive them of the most effective assurance of their adherence to their Savior Jesus Christ, her Son.

A notable example of blasphemy against the Immaculate Conception is Pope Francis’ homily in December, 2013 when he suggested that Mary may have responded to the humiliations of Jesus in His Passion with, “Lies, I was deceived!”. The Humble Pope® repeated the blasphemy on May 29, 2015 (link to Vatican site).  It is difficult to think of a more unfitting comment from the “Holy Father”. The fact that these insulting remarks drew so little attention from mainstream Catholic commentators is proof positive that they either do not know their faith or simply could not care less about something so boringly ordinary as the Vicar of Christ blaspheming the Mother of God.

Most recently, at the Republican Convention, August 26, 2020, a nun, Sister Deirdre Byrne, gave a pro-life speech which drew copious praise from Catholics.  However pro-life this woman may be, she was certainly not pro-Mary! in her speech, she said,

“As Christians, we first met Jesus as a stirring embryo in the womb of an unwed mother and saw him born nine months later in the poverty of the cave.” That is an insult to Our Lady that should have been set straight, and after which the nun should have publically recanted the slur against both Jesus Our Lord and His Most Holy Mother.

Blasphemy Against Mary’s Perpetual Virginity

For blasphemy against the perpetual virginity of the the Blessed Mother, a perfect example was given in the 2003 book on dogmatic theology written by Gerhard Muller. His name should be familiar because he is now, in an ironic turn of fate, the prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Muller says of the the perpetual virginity of Mary,

“It is not about specific physiological peculiarities in the natural process of birth of Jesus (such as the birth canal not being opened, the hymen not being broken, and the absence of birth contractions), but rather about the healing and saving influence of the Redeemer’s grace on human nature. …The content of the faith statement, therefore, does not refer to physiologically and empirically verifiable somatic details. Rather, it recognizes already in the birth of Christ the initial signs of the eschatological salvation of the Messianic end time which dawned with Jesus. (“Catholic Dogmatics. For a Study and Practice of Theology” (Katholische Dogmatik. Für Studium und Praxis der Theologie) Bishop Gerhard Ludwig Müller, Freiburg: Herder, 2003, p 498).

Atila Sink Guimaraes pointed out in Animus Injuriandi I (Desire to Offend), that for a Catholic to question the virginal birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ, “constitutes a supreme offense to the Faith. It is even graver because the Church has repeatedly pronounced herself on this matter.” (Margaret Galitzin at www.traditioninaction.org). To be fair to Muller, he is only echoing what many theologians from Vatican II onwards have stated, among them, Karl Rahner and Leonardo Boff, who is a favorite of Pope Francis.

Devotion to Mary – Irritating?

For blasphemies against the Maternity of Mary, especially her maternity of mankind, one of the best examples is the way the Second Vatican Council scorned the proposed schema on the Blessed Virgin Mary in favor of a watered down, weakened tribute that deliberately left loopholes. This complex issue is covered in many books about the Council, but Dr. Roberto de Mattei’s, “The Second Vatican Council, an unwritten story” has many well documented examples of the expressed intentions of the Council Fathers to minimize the role of Mary in order to promote ecumenism. He references Congar, Rahner, Laurentin, Frings and others, but perhaps the most telling quote was the one from Pope John XXIII when he was Patriarch of Venice. In a letter of 22 April, 1954, he wrote of Mary,

“Jesus dying said to John: Behold your Mother – this is sufficient for the faith and for the liturgy. The rest may be edifying (and it is mostly) and for many pious and devout souls, moving; but for many, many more, even if they are well-inclined towards the Catholic Church – it is irritating – and as we say these days – counter-productive”.

Amazing. Devotion to Mary is “irritating”? Really? And Pope Francis must agree with Roncalli, since he canonized him!

Keeping her children from her

The fourth offense against Our Blessed Mother is that of sowing scorn, hatred or indifference for our Blessed Mother in the hearts of her children. That is to say, the heretical corruption of Catholic catechesis that has occurred in the post-conciliar church. Father John Hardon spoke of this in an article entitled, “The Blessed Virgin in Modern Catechetics” in The Immaculata Magazine, Conventual Franciscan, 1980.

Father Hardon affirmed that, “a considerable number of leaders in American religious instruction, all nominally Catholic and some highly influential, simply do not believe in Mariology in any traditional sense of the term.” He noted that post-conciliar catechesis is experiential, not dogmatic, and he stated, “the Blessed Virgin is part of the doctrinal possession of Catholic Christianity. So that to teach Catholic doctrine means to teach Mary as belonging to the mystery of the Incarnation and the Mystical Body of Christ.” Father Hardon cited numerous examples, especially in the Teacher’s Instructions for the Catholic Catechism,

“Remember that Mary had no part in the active life of the Church. … Do not picture to your class the apostles going to Mary for advice on how they would teach the truth Christ left with them. (Catholic Catechism, Bk. II, Teacher’s Book, Australia and Hong Kong, Huntington, IN)

Father Hardon’s article in the Immaculata Magazine concluded with his heartfelt warning against ignoring Mary’s role in our faith, “Unless catechetics pays due respect to Mary it will not give due honor to Christ, and without Christ there is no Christianity.” This is precisely the point!

The final offense against Our Blessed Mother is that of outraging her directly in her images. Perhaps the first image that comes to mind is that of the Muslim defamation of the statues that have been in the news. But this is also done on a routine basis by modern church “art”. The ugly images of Mary, which are found in the modern churches of the Novus Ordo church are examples of outraging her in her images.

Negating Mary

This matter actually goes deeper than all that, in fact, it sums up all the foregoing offenses, because it represents the entire goal of the devil’s attack on Mary, which is to obliterate her image in the church, and negate her role in salvation.

The Immaculata is the arch-enemy of Satan. She is the Mother of our Savior, and He chose her from all eternity to be the one who would give Him the very Body and Blood with which He would save us and continue through the ages to nourish us. Therefore to strike at Mary is to strike at Jesus Christ Himself in a most particular way.

These are just a few thoughts on the subject of the Five Offenses to Mary. I offer them in hopes that others, more capable than I am, may be moved to expand on them to the profit of all who are devoted to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In any event, perhaps someone reading this will be encouraged to renew their efforts to make the First Saturdays of Reparation to our Dearest Mother and even assist others to do so!

* NOTE: For those who are not familiar with the image above which resides in the English College of Valladolid, Spain; where she is honored as Nuestra Señora de la Vulnerata,  Our Lady Vulnerata, that is to say, The Wounded One. For the history of this statue and the hateful events which harmed her, see here.

Blasphemy for Christmas

“And he took me away in spirit into the desert. And I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” (Apocalypse, 17,3)

St. John thus makes note of the important place that blasphemy holds in these latter days. Wouldn’t you love to see this remarkable papacy from St. John’s eyes! Well, as luck would have it, here we are in the midst of those times so long ago prophesied. . .

Isn’t this the fifth Christmas for this benighted papacy? This poor pope must be about 83 or so, and his time is running out.  It seems to have brought with it an increase in his vengeance against Christ and His Blessed Mother. On Friday, 21 December, the day he addressed the Curia, he also spoke to his employees and their families at the Vatican.. According to Vatican News,

“Drawing attention to the Nativity scene, the Pope said that Our Lady and St. Joseph are happy because, after a thousand worries, they have received this Gift from God with so much faith and so much love. ‘They are overflowing with holiness and therefore with joy.’ But it was not easy for them, the Pope said, adding ‘saints are not born, they become so, and this also applies to them.’ “

And so, in a very off-hand manner, the pope asserts that Our Lady and St. Joseph “were not born saints, they become so”; thus, neatly divesting Our Lady of her infallibly proclaimed Immaculate Conception. This continued along the lines of his earlier affront to Our Lady which we discussed in Pope Francis tells us about Mary, a normal girl”

This insult was then echoed by a protege of the pope, Bishop Manuel Linda of Oporto, Portugal in a Christmas interview with the Observador, a widely read newspaper of Portugal. According to Rorate Caeli:

“He [Christ] was conceived by Mary and Joseph as any other person… Virginity is only associated with Mary as a metaphor to prove that Jesus was a very special person.”

“We should never refer to the physical virginity of Mary.” “The Old Testament says many times that Jesus was to be born of a maiden, a daughter of Israel, who was simple, poor, and humble. But this is truly just a reference to the full devotion of this woman to God.The gift of being mother of God was given to Mary because she had an undivided heart. What matters is full giving of herself,”explains Bp Manuel Linda.

“And he adds, “There certainly are women with a ruptured hymen who are more virgin in the sense of full devotion to God than some with an intact hymen.”

A Spiritual Battle

Thus, the Bishop of Opporto illustrates that this is a spiritual battle, above all. And he shows which side he is on.  For we know what happened to the “woman” who rode the scarlet coloured beast. “And the ten horns which thou sawest in the beast: these shall hate the harlot, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and shall burn her with fire.” (Apoc. 17, 16)

The Church, most pure Bride of Christ can only be freed from the filth of the satanic occupiers by the means Our Lord has given us, that is, the spiritual weapons offered by Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima. Clamoring for our Bishops and Cardinals to call for a new Council, or whatever, will only worsen the situation. These men have been responsible for, at a minimum, tolerance of the heresy and apostasy that are all-pervasive within the hierarchy. They have each and every one, been complicit in the post-Conciliar denigration of the Mass and sacraments. These men continue to offend Our Lord greatly. They are incapable of doing otherwise until such time as sufficient reparation has been made by those who still hold the true faith.

Pope Francis, poor man, is now responsible for the blood of many faithful, “drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus” (Apoc 17, 6)  as will become apparent in due time. Pope Francis has initiated a process that will contribute to not only the loss of many souls in the great mission country of China (link), but has betrayed many saints currently suffering (and many more yet to suffer) for their faith. Their blood is on his hands. He has welcomed the anti-Christic muslims who kill Christians as a “religious” duty. He has publicly insulted Our Lady and has rewarded men who have joined him in his endeavor to blaspheme her. He has been active in supporting the “rite of sodomy” within the Church. Only God knows how long this situation will endure, but in the end, there will be a cleansing.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is Wisdom, has thus allowed the evil to manifest itself so that it may be driven forth, as evil is always driven forth, by fasting, penance, and prayer, and ultimately and most decisively, by the blood of martyrs, which renews and vivifies the faith. For make no mistake, it will come to pass, even as the Holy Ghost revealed to St. John:

“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (holy and true) dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given to every one of them one; and it was said to them, that they should rest for a little time, till their fellow servants, and their brethren, who are to be slain, even as they, should be filled up.” (Apoc. 6, 9-11)

The blood of the martyrs cries out for justice; in no other way can reparation be made now, I fear.

We know Who will triumph.

Please pray the Rosary, make the First Saturdays of reparation and promote this devotion, so many souls depend on it.

Pope Francis tells us about Mary: “a normal girl”

By now, you’ve all  heard  the latest in Pope Bergoglio’s ongoing attack against the Immaculata.

The Pope: “I’ll tell you about Mary, a normal girlˮ.

He went on to say,

“From the moment she was born until the Annunciation, to the moment she encountered the angel of God, I imagine her as a normal girl, a girl of today, I can’t say she (sic) a city-girl, because she is from a small town, but normal, educated normally, open to marrying, to starting a family. One thing I imagine is that she loved the Scriptures: she knew the Scriptures, she had done catechesis in a family environment, from the heart. Then, after the conception of Jesus, she was still a normal woman: Mary is normal, she is a woman that any woman in this world can imitate. No strange things in life, a normal mother: even in her virginal marriage, chaste in that frame of virginity, Mary was normal. She worked, went shopping, helped her Son, helped her husband: normal”. (From La Stampa’s Vatican Insider.)

Thus, in just one brief paragraph, Bergoglio’s hatred of the Mother of God claims that Mary is “normal” eight times, and asserts that she was “open to starting a family”.

About Mary, a Normal Girl

Blessed Pope Pius IX: “We declare, announce, and define that the doctrine which states that the Blessed Virgin Mary was preserved, in the first instant of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of God Omnipotent and because of the merits of Jesus Christ the Saviour of the human race, free from all stain of original sin, is revealed by God and must therefore be believed firmly and with constancy by all the faithful” Pope Francis: “I’ll tell you about Mary, a normal girl.”

Blessed Pope Pius IX, pray for the Pope, pray for us!

Saint John Eudes: “Mary was filled with such eminent grace at the moment of her Immaculate Conception that she already surpassed the chief of Seraphim and the greatest of Saints.” Pope Francis: “I imagine her as a normal girl, a girl of today.”

St. John Eudes, pray for the Pope, pray for us!

Saint John Eudes quotes St. Bernardine of Siena:  “All the gifts and graces of the Holy Ghost descended into the soul and heart of this heavenly Virgin in such fullness, especially when she conceived the Son of God within her chaste womb, that her Heart forms an abyss of grace which no human or angelic intellect can comprehend.” Pope Francis: “Mary is normal, she is a woman that any woman in this world can imitate. No strange things in (her) life, a normal mother:”

St. Bernardine of Siena, pray for the Pope, pray for us!

St. Padre Pio: “She was conceived without sin, and through her came grace to mankind. Protected with Grace by Him who was to be the Saviour of Mankind that had fallen into sin, she escaped all shadow of evil. She sprang from the mind of God as a pure ray of light, and will shine like a morning star over the human race that turns to her.” Pope Francis: “I’ll tell you about Mary, a normal girlˮ

St. Pio, pray for the Pope, pray for us!

Saint Padre Pio: “She will be the sure guide who will direct our steps toward the Divine Sun which is Jesus Christ. He makes her radiant with divine splendor and points to her as our model of purity and sanctity. No creature surpasses her. After Almighty God, she is the most perfect of creatures; more pure than the angels; God is indeed well pleased in her, since she most resembles Him and is the only worthy repository of His secrets.”  Pope Francis: “after the conception of Jesus, she was still a normal woman: Mary is normal,”

St. Pio, pray for the Pope, pray for us!

St. John Damascene: “Oh blessed Virgin, thou art born to procure the salvation of the whole world!” Pope Francis: “No strange things in (her)  life, a normal mother:”

St. John Damascene, pray for the Pope, pray for us!

St. Alphonsus Liguori quotes St. Bernard: Mary was already prefigured in the ark of Noah; for as by the ark men were saved from the deluge, so by Mary we are saved from the shipwreck of sin; but with this difference, that by means of the ark few only were saved, but by means of Mary the whole human race has been redeemed. Pope Francis: “I’ll tell you about Mary, a normal girl.”

St. Alphonus Liguori, pray for the Pope, pray for us!

Prayer of Reparation for Blasphemy Against the Blessed Virgin Mary

Most glorious Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our Mother, turn thine eyes in pity upon us, miserable sinners; we are sorely afflicted by the many evils that surround us in this life, but especially do we feel our hearts break within us upon hearing the dreadful insults and blasphemies uttered against thee, O Virgin Immaculate.

O how these impious sayings offend the infinite Majesty of God and of His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ! How they provoke His indignation and give us cause to fear the terrible effects of His vengeance! Would that the sacrifice of our lives might avail to put an end to such outrages and blasphemies! Were it so, how gladly we should make that sacrifice; for we desire, O most holy Mother, to love thee and to honor thee with all our hearts, since this is the will of God. And because we love thee, we will do all that is in our power to make thee honored and loved by all men.

In the meantime do thou, our merciful Mother, the supreme comforter of the afflicted, accept this our act of reparation which we offer thee for ourselves and for all our families, as well as for all who impiously blaspheme thee, not knowing what they say. Do thou obtain for them from Almighty God the grace of conversion, and thus render more manifest and more glorious thy kindness, thy power and thy great mercy. May they join with us in proclaiming thee blessed among women, the Immaculate Virgin and most compassionate Mother of God. Amen.

. † .

Remember Sister Lucia’s words to Father Fuentes (and to us) about the message of the Virgin:

She told me that the devil is in the mood for engaging in a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle where one side will be victorious and the other side will suffer defeat. Also, from now on we must choose sides. Either we are for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility.“
